Kyc sometimes is to detect the people using bots for registration. Sometimes is comes with a disadvantage for some countries for not accepting them in project.

I believe that kyc is not an issue but first all  kyc should be done before the beginning of any project and they should be proper security in order that  people document partaking in the project should be secure.

Until now, KYC has become a scourge for bounty hunters, as well as joining airdrop gave the KYC form rules, but for now I prefer, not to join Airdrop, which requires KYC because we know Airdrop is not promising now and we don't can just hand over a very private ID and I think we should be wise and careful about this

Doing KYC for me is not a problem. Most important before doing KYC, we must ensure that they can be trusted about the security of my ID. And if the results are very good, I will definitely do KYC, but if the results are very small, it is better to look for other projects.
I agree, if the results from the project that require KYC to be large enough and have good prospects, I don't mind filling in KYC, but if it's only for small-value airdops, then I'd better look for another project
Personal data security is also my consideration in conducting KYC, I will be willing to fill out KYC for projects that guarantee the security of the personal data that I provide

Well I would say it depends on the type of airdrop. If the airdrop, if it worth submitting my kyc for. But it will be very stupid to submit kyc for airdrops not even worth noting.  Many projects take advantage of the depressed participants and request for kyc for just 2$ airdrop

Well it will not be a very big deal to people including myself, you could I say i have reach to the point where even my I.D could be stolen I would still apply for the KYC procedure of releasing bounty tokens. I live in a 3rd world country, more jobless people like me are increasing each year. Bitcoi and altcoins. especially new born coins is a really big help for people like us. That is why we will take whatever it is as long as it is legal, KYC or AML procedures.

Many of the participants did not want token claims by providing personal data as an excuse to get tokens.
What's more KYC in Airdrop which only costs a few cents.
I will not give KYC with a token value that is low in price and does not have a high trading volume.

Important and valuable documents should be in privacy for oneself rather than given to Airdrop which values 1-2 $ tokens.

That's bullshit, this just increases the chances that people send their data to some db for sale. It should be people that gets to verify the team, their identity and their capabilities.
I pointed this in https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/a-new-look-to-kyc-from-a-customers-perspective-5121562 , stopped posting since I'm not certain that the current audience the thread get is going to do much about it.

Yes this is becoming very popular everyday I think we should all just let go of fighting KYC off ,it won't work anymore ,even the 90% of exchanges I use this days request for KYC ,I had no choice but to give out my I.D for me to be able to sell or buy coins and tokens

I better not provide data, because indeed Airdrop does not provide me with many advantages and disadvantages because of working on it, and also our data can be misused by them

The issue of KYC always raises questions whose answers are mostly not very discerning to the ears. It is quite unfortunate, I know most crypto enthusiasts are not comfortable giving out their personal information for KYC but there is little we can do about the situation at the moment.  Most of these projects claim they are under a legal jurisdiction where KYC is very important for many business projects. The new trend is increasingly becoming worrisome as many airdrops are even requiring KYC verification from participants.

Don't bother to join the airdrop if they want your identity, just find another airdrops.
and i think doing airdrops nowadays is won't make you rich because the rewards is very small. KYC should only for the big reward.

In as much as we understand the importance of KYC in order to reduce the risk of fraud and streamline the problems associated with multiple accounts. But I strongly feel in my humble view that KYC should be restricted to investors and not airdrop participants. Airdrops are just like freebies. KYC stands for Know Your Customer. Now except am wrong a customer patronizes a product or service by paying money in exchange. But in the case of freebies, there's it can extend to virtually customers and none customers alike. Hence my suggestion for KYC to be restricted to investors of projects.

I agree with you, KYC from the meaning of it should be implemented only to the customers but, host of the airdrop noticed that their giveaways are being exploited by the airdrops hunters, we have seen lots of it here on the forum so we cannot blame these airdrops to impose this KYC.   It is the airdrop participants choice to participate knowing they have to undergo an identity check before they can get their freebies.  So it is up to us if we will patronize this kind of system.  They will eventually adjust if they saw no one is biting their bait.

lots of airdrop ask for KYC verification to get prize but all return to their respective rights, I personally will do KYC if the airdrop is said to definitely pay
If the airdrop worth $1, are you still doing the KYC? Are you sure that you want to do KYC for only $ 1?

I personally do not want and never will to passed KYC for airdrop and or bounty program, I consider it's very risky!

Few of the main reasons they force a KYC verification is to overcome the bounties cheaters that create multiple accounts, and they just following the legal jurisdiction. I'm aware of it but it surely contradicts with the cryptocurrency decentralized natures. Cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin was created in the spirit of decentralization and trustless, an alternative to centralized entities.

It is sad to realize that many of the users don't value their own privacy, and doesn't maximize the benefit of cryptocurrency underlying technologies. Mainstream should understand how important privacy is, and it isn't worth to be exchanged for any money.

I would never risk my personal documents for a small airdrop. However, airdrops are worth almost nothing, especially on the falling market and it does not make any sense to undergo a KYC process for several bucks of noname token.

I think the same as well. There is no point risking personal information to get airdrop. I will personally skip if I come across such request. In the first place, I don’t get it why KYC is need when the project is not collecting funds from the airdrop.

Never believe in any Airdrop which are seeking KYC by which they collect your personal data. Still, now I have not got a single reward of joining the Airdrop since the last two years. But, I lost my token/coin worth of $10,000 last year.

If the project is potential and can increase its price in the future, I will implement KYC, I have participated in many projects and KYC but its price is very bad, for me it depends on each project . KYC doesn't affect me very much, it just takes my time Smiley

Kyc for an airdrop is so ridiculous why someone/the team need to know which people participated on their airdrop program. Thats totally useless, i understand if it for token sales investor but airdrop and bounty is not a good thing. They are just advertising so no need to see deeper information. And hunters you should not part of this kyc program, dont risk your identity in a bunch of token and not know if this project is real existing
