Well we do know this the airdrops is not the same like it was a long time ago. We know there is some people that is not happy with the airdrop for Hamster Kombat.
I was a person that did think there was going to be some profit to be made from that airdrop. There was going to be a second season to launch end of October.
But now HMSTR token is down more than 77 percent from the all time high. I do think alot of airdrop tokens will not make us profit.

Absolutely not, many projects are using a fake or useless airdrop just to promote their shitty project. Shameless!
Value your time better and you will for sure find success elsewhere.

While I have never been part of any proper airdrop for now, I have to say that it's also not the time for them to be profitable right now neither. I believe, they are very valuable and "worth it" when the bull run starts, so if you see bitcoin at 100k+ and ethereum at 5k+ then know that there will be airdrops that actually worth something.

There will still be plenty of terrible ones, majority will always be very bad, but the good ones go from less than 1% to reaching 5-10% range to "worth it" level. That is why we should wait, if you really want to participate in airdrops, this is not the time, there is no bull run, and it is not really profitable or worth it to just spend time on it, because you are just wasting your efforts.

airdrop has now become a game of wits, the people who can max out their odds come out with huge reward, the normal average joe won't earn that much, it's only worth it if you can create edge that puts you ahead of everyone else for example big community where you can earn commission from refferal, highly increases your odds of making it big.

so for average joe, it's not worth it.
but for people who have built community around airdrop, or at least have a method to put them ahead of anyone else, it's still worth it.

but it comes back again, if you have that much free time and have nothing else to do, I guess doing airdrop isn't so bad after all.

Honestly, airdrops are becoming more difficult to farm, especially the popular ones. I’m starting to get concerned. The Eigen airdrop was great, I ended up with over $2K just for using the network, without even knowing about the airdrop in advance. It wasn’t as hyped, so not many people were prepared for it.

The more people that prepare for these airdrops, the smaller the rewards. Take Get Grass, for example, they used my internet 24/7 for months, and in return, I got 6 cents... I’m frustrated. I saw it trading in pre-market at $0.96, and if it lists at $1, my 6 Grass would be worth $6. Sure, it’s free, but it hardly feels worth the effort.

I’ve been involved since epoch 3 and honestly expected a bit more. Does anyone share similar thoughts with me or you are all bullish?
I share same sentiment but GRASS has been remarkable if you had hodled till this moment. I didn't get a decent allocation too but to a decent decision to buy on Bitget's premarket when the price was dropping few hours before listing at $0.79 and would likely take profit today if the price touches the projected $2.

Sometimes being lucky making the right decision and being patient is rewarding.

On the moment that you are already spending up some funds to make some onchain transactions or simply buying out something like upgrades into those games then its not considered free anymore.
Airdrops nowadays turned out to be like this on which it is really that something risky on which you dont even know if these tokens will really be that having some value or even have that airdrop in the end or not.

I think we've been running out of project developer that actually want to present some innovation to the crypto world, instead we're left with pseudo-dev who just exist to milk people.
the recent TGE has been consistently disappointing for me, can you imagine, staking ETH with LRT projects for extensive period, around 1 year, with the amount of staked around 2-3 ETH only to get rewarded 50 freaking dollar after one whole year, and the devs are eating good because they got massive APR from the staked ETH of their participants amounting to millions of dollars. but the people, who actually put something at risk, got rewarded minimum amount, just ridiculous smh.

feels like, the airdrop in crypto space is being dominated by scammers.

I think you already have an answer in your post. Airdrops that come as a surprise are usually much rewarding that those that are over publicized and have a lot of users participating. I have experience this before, so it shouldn't come in as a surprise.

It's been a very, very long time since I last willingly wasted my time with airdrops. Getting a well rewarding airdrop these days is more like a lottery, and hey, do not ever be deceived in to believing that an airdrop is free. It isn't. The time you waste and sometimes the private data you give away is worth much more than the tokens you are receiving
This is true, Airdrop which is not too discussed will have the possibility of getting a large reward, yes you can say hidden gems, the term hype will have more users and rewards will be distributed to many users so that they get a little allocation from the budget Prepared for Airdrop Hunter, Eigen is a tangible form, and the grass is the bad campaign , even though they are a pretty good project.

Indeed there is nothing free in this world if you see from that point of view, some things are exchanged for the time, business and internet that we use as capital to follow it.

The main issue is that airdrops are not reliable. You can get a reasonable amount of money from a project you never expected, and you can get out with dust from a project you hyped. That's just the truth about airdrops, and you will never be certain of one if you get paid.
I missed on some airdrops that paid really well, like EIGEN, I also don't want to miss out on anyone again, but I will also not rely on them because they can disappoint. But if I get a reliable airdrop, I will participate because I am fed up with the dust rewards gotten from telegram tap to earn airdrops.

Airdrops are rewarding if the market is sufficient with liquidity, that's when you see new projects raised money from different individuals and then will want to make awareness about their project by spread information and then reward people for doing such but if the market is not too good, most of the airdrops that will be coming wouldn't fulfill their promises and if they don't, they wouldn't he able to pay participants that help them perform some tasks.

Projects like Eigen rewarded the participants because they minted some NFTs and that was not recently, it was some months back and some people that staked ethereum which they bridge through their network. That means they risk and trusted the project to bridge their coins and provide TVL for the project so they can give lifea and support the project, that's more like retroactive airdrop in my opinion and it's dangerous to do but if you can risk it, the reward will be bigger than what you might imagine.

Airdrops nowadays are full of uncertainty; its like a box full of chocolate, you never know what's you're going to get, There were airdrops that people have worked day and night and even paid for upgrade only to get dusts after the distribution, so they're more disappointed now, its far different from the airdrops of old but in the old days there were only hundreds of participants, now we have millions, that's because Cryptocurrency is so popular now

Your device is working 24/7 for it. That is not an airdrop but money paid for the work you did through your device. About the airdrop coins, the coin may increase in price or the coin may decrease in price. If I receive any, I will convert it and spend it immediately than to be disappointed will its price falling.
I always say airdrops are not free money mostly in recent times the number of tasks you participate in is enough work, and recently their pay isn’t enough for the efforts exacted. Most airdrops right now mostly those on TG are just using people to enrich themselves (they’re farming yous not you farming the drops).
Free in a way that you did not spend money and there are actually airdrops (especially before) in which you will only need to send your crypto address for payment and that was it. You only need to wait for their payment dates after. With these kind of setup I wouldn't wonder anymore or complain on why some are not paying. Even the airdrops that requires us a capital can also scam us. Airdrops have evolved in the long run and project owners are now getting wiser. They think it's a good idea if people can promote their project.

This is not wrong but as long as of course they will also pay us for our efforts that we are making. We need to be wise about this and we shouldn't let that one party can only benefit at all times.

This is why it would really be just that depending on you whether you would be engaging with these things or not. I have tons of experience on dealing with those projects that have some incentivized tasks on which
it do really involves those onchain transactions or having those kind of tasks on which you would really be needing up to spend some gas or even needing to mint something.

Same as mentioned above that these things are also being abused with those scam devs on trying out to make money into those hopeful people or bounty hunters and falling out into their trap.
This is why you should really be that careful on choosing up on what projects you would really be trying out to deal on and dont let yourself get dragged with some hype because usually
projects which does have that tons of users are the ones who do end up on failed projects or ending up on receiving less rewards.

It is good that you made such a big amount from airdrop. Airdrops still pay though but you can’t be so sure of the one that will give you lots of money by contributing your little quota to the project. When a project is not hyped and no many people on them, the reward is always high and I think that was why you got really big reward for the effort you put into the project.

I have been hearing about grass but not until when they’re about to lunch. I hope they pay well for the efforts many people have put into them. Even if you don’t make a lot from grass, the one gotten from Eigen should have covered for that effort you put into farming grass. In airdrops, we shouldn’t expect much, so anything that comes from it will be appreciated and not saddened.

I believe $GRASS has some potential regardless of the fact that you got a little amount worth of it during the airdrop. I say this because I just looked it up on Bitget's pre-market trade counter and it's already climbed to $1 and I've come to understand that most of the time, these tokens that gets pre-traded before official listings usually gets listed above the pre-trade price. That's an opportunity right there mate.

everything's depends on supply and demand, there is too much hype created about airdrops. millions of people participate, if they give 1 usdt each, they needs million dollar budgets so its obvious they cant give big amounts.

the hardest part of following airdrop always predicting the legit ones, EIGEN is rare occurrence, because they decided to go with tiered system and added bonus at the end of the TGE.

compare it with puffer finance for example, tiered system but really low rewards Grin. I've seen plenty of people staking few ETH, not selling despite reaching ATH for the sake of puffer and then holding until ETH go back to $2500 only to get rewarded with fixed tiered reward of 70 puffer which only equal to less than $35. crazy I know but it happens.

this is why I only consider airdrop just as a side hustle that might be waste of time and most of the time just hit or miss.

Yeah, without the needed resources allocated to it, you won't be able to get good rewards, usually. That's the nature of the drops currently in the crypto space for you and these people Grin Nobody says you can't try your luck and analysis, though.

It's no longer 2017 to early 2018 era, airdrops are no longer worth the try. During the time that I mentioned, we have seen a lot of airdrops that really gave something to the investors or the bounty hunters. Although it try to make a resurgence with the latest craze of tap to earn and some early or prime mover of this project really game a good airdrop. However, the recent Hamster was a disappointment, and that's what I read and heard from people. Months and months of farming and tapping and everyone was with this project expecting a huge returns for their hard work and yet during the airdrop, majority of them didn't get what they expecting and so it was really disheartening for them. And with that, I would say that airdrop is not as what it used to be and the reward is not going to be worth in the end.
In recent time, we are having too much hype specially social media channels are creating troubles because scam developers only need few peoples for having good intention about their project then we have the huge number of community members jumps in which bring good mess up and at the end mostly are crying about have nothing from this airdrop but sadly no one learning from mistakes with many are doing same job for nothing and giving their time and effort.

Hamster is the biggest example as how developers use this community and then have changes into their airdrops which was completely unfair, but we can't do anything about this, but we need to understand about these ground realities and not jump in these time-wasting things because as members are giving their time and effort for these useless and scam airdrops they can do better things or can learn about skills which will help them.

Talking about airdrops that are currently considered not too commensurate with the results that occur due to the increase or hype that exists so that in the end more and more people know about an airdrop, it is certain that the results obtained will also not be too large and may not even be commensurate which is certain that this will also be utilized by developers to make levels at least more difficult than before because indeed a large increase certainly provides a situation that will certainly make them realize that they will feel above the wind.

For now, airdrops that come suddenly and in a vulnerable duration that is not too long and of course there are not as many enthusiasts as for some airdrops that have excessive hype, it will be much more profitable in my opinion because we can take the example of some telegram airdrops such as hamsters which have excessive hype, it becomes overloaded and not too worth it to do.

Yeah, i do remember those years on which airdrops arent that hard. To qualify yourself into such airdrop then you would really be just that needing to sign up with some google form then viola, you are already that
accepted on getting some drops and wait up for its value to be shown and get those nice amount of tokens with ease, which is really that totally different as of this moment on where you would really be needing up
to do various tasks and theworst on which you would really be making use of some amount for gas or taking up transactions on which it would really be adding up on the expense and this one really sucks.
You are spending on something on which you arent that even know if it would really be worth it or not. Airdrop nowadays are shit and something that you cant be sure on ending up some value.
The worst is that they do really end up on a couple of months or even years on which the most disappointing thing at all is that you've been grinding for so long but you do only get 10 bucks.  Cheesy
