Honestly, airdrops are becoming more difficult to farm, especially the popular ones. I’m starting to get concerned. The Eigen airdrop was great, I ended up with over $2K just for using the network, without even knowing about the airdrop in advance. It wasn’t as hyped, so not many people were prepared for it.

The more people that prepare for these airdrops, the smaller the rewards. Take Get Grass, for example, they used my internet 24/7 for months, and in return, I got 6 cents... I’m frustrated. I saw it trading in pre-market at $0.96, and if it lists at $1, my 6 Grass would be worth $6. Sure, it’s free, but it hardly feels worth the effort.

I’ve been involved since epoch 3 and honestly expected a bit more. Does anyone share similar thoughts with me or you are all bullish?
It's no longer 2017 to early 2018 era, airdrops are no longer worth the try. During the time that I mentioned, we have seen a lot of airdrops that really gave something to the investors or the bounty hunters. Although it try to make a resurgence with the latest craze of tap to earn and some early or prime mover of this project really game a good airdrop. However, the recent Hamster was a disappointment, and that's what I read and heard from people. Months and months of farming and tapping and everyone was with this project expecting a huge returns for their hard work and yet during the airdrop, majority of them didn't get what they expecting and so it was really disheartening for them. And with that, I would say that airdrop is not as what it used to be and the reward is not going to be worth in the end.

The more referrals you spread the greater your chances of getting the tokens, now airdrops have a referral system if you don't rely on this then you will miss out on airdrops with only a few tokens received.

Grass Premarket on Lbank $10 but this exchange is not clear... different from other premarkets.

That airdrop is still difficult to guess, even I got a worthy reward from Eigen while only a little money was bet on Puffer but got the benefits.

I don't expect too much from airdrops so this is like gambling it is still difficult to predict how much we will get so it's better to think about it than to think about it.

You are frustrated because you are expecting something or maybe worse, you are expecting too much because you already received a high amount in one of the airdrops that you participated in. Do remember, these are airdrops which means they are free and you don't really have to expect something from them because most of them end up with dust value.

Many will join, that's a normal thing to happen, it also happens during the ICO time and it's not actually different from what is happening now. They will join any bounty that they can and if there's nothing to do buy just join a channel of a Telegram group then it's a bonus to them. Look, you didn't even make some huge effort to receive such an amount, just be thankful if you do.

Even though by choosing an airdrop that seems popular to enter, there is no guarantee that the airdrop will be good for the future, but it is necessary not to think about that, because now it is difficult to determine all that at the beginning, from the development side only thinking about so that more people follow it.

Thats why it would really be that important that on the moment or time you do consider out on dealing up with airdrops is that you shouldnt really be expecting too much into it. So that you wont really be ending up on getting disappointed on the moment of distribution of rewards. One of the risks involved dealing up with these things that you might be ending up on getting some peanuts or getting nothing at all. This is something that you should have that accepted since from the start or into the moment that you do deal up with these things. It will really be that recommended that you shouldnt really be putting up all of your time on dealing up
with airdrops because you wouldnt really be knowing whether it would really be worth or not for your time. Always expect the unexpected and this is something that could happen.

Its true that rewards nowadays arent that worth for your time because you would be needing up to have those tons of tasks but ending up on getting something which is really just that too small or something not really that worth for the thing you've done and this is something you must be anticipating on the time you do deal up with these things. So it will really be that just that depending whether you do have that sufficient time on dealing up with these things and go full time or simply doing up some side tasks on your free time.

First, these airdrops are just like some giveaway to the community of the projects that have used or liked them. Doing some stuff, tasks, doing transaction on their network and the rewards are on their own native token. Lucky you are that you've got $2k for Eigen when many did missed that or they've probably seen and heard of it but did nothing.

Those that have a lot of participants like millions, expect that you'll get peanuts from them. That's why those that are into airdrops are hunting those that have tasks regards to the network and testnets. That's more rewarding because it requires some fund too and the more you transact and spend on their networks, the bigger potential rewards that the participants will get. But don't get me wrong, there's no guaranteed with that and just remember that airdrops are like hit or miss.

That's the thing about making money on airdrops; it should be good, only a few people participate, and the allocation is good. So many airdrops are referral based; they do not limit their participants, so participants ended up with dust because of the huge number of participants.

Some developers brag they have a huge community or participants, but the fact is that huge numbers will suffer from wasted effort because of the allocation. Again,  the developers only think of their number, not what the community will get in exchange for their effort.

No, I am not bullish on the project, neither am I bullish on any hyped projects as no one knows the fate of any of them until after listed and market force acted as usual.

Yeah, usually, the line can be drawn after the allocation, beforehand, it's all a fuzz n' buzz Grin

Airdrop is more of a number game like the bounty, with many people participating and the developers not limiting the participants, and the allocation is a small percentage of the supply; there's going to be fewer shares of each participant. You are lucky to have participated in a project with fewer participants and with good allocation, but of course the project should have potential.

Airdrops are like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're going to get. some are good and some are bad. Even if you did your research, there's still no guaranty that you're effort will be rewarded, I will not be surprised after the big hype; many participants will slow down and only pick airdrops that they think will have potential

Congratulations on the good money earned from the Eigen airdrop, this is rare these days. You must know that the more people participating in an airdrop the lower the money, don't let them deceive you about the community size, the community size only works when the community are actually investing, not when they are depending on the projects money.

So, when a good project is not hyped, you can be sure of higher returns.

Your device is working 24/7 for it. That is not an airdrop but money paid for the work you did through your device. About the airdrop coins, the coin may increase in price or the coin may decrease in price. If I receive any, I will convert it and spend it immediately than to be disappointed will its price falling.
I always say airdrops are not free money mostly in recent times the number of tasks you participate in is enough work, and recently their pay isn’t enough for the efforts exacted. Most airdrops right now mostly those on TG are just using people to enrich themselves (they’re farming yous not you farming the drops).

Is the effort still worth the reward? It depends on individual. If some people see $5 to $10, they will be happy, but while some can be very disappointing. If I see such amount, it will be a total waste of time for me.

The more people that prepare for these airdrops, the smaller the rewards. Take Get Grass, for example, they used my internet 24/7 for months, and in return, I got 6 cents... I’m frustrated. When airdrops becomes more popular the smaller it would go round the community but if airdrops aren't that promoted in various media there would be probability of you earning something  reasonable from the airdrops, but if you think most of the airdrops you anticipates aren't worth the reward then you can stop doing airdrop and focused on something more much productive to you. For long I never involved myself with airdrop because i know too well that it would definitely ends with regrets as worthless rewards couples with my time wasted while doing it.

I think you already have an answer in your post. Airdrops that come as a surprise are usually much rewarding that those that are over publicized and have a lot of users participating. I have experience this before, so it shouldn't come in as a surprise.

It's been a very, very long time since I last willingly wasted my time with airdrops. Getting a well rewarding airdrop these days is more like a lottery, and hey, do not ever be deceived in to believing that an airdrop is free. It isn't. The time you waste and sometimes the private data you give away is worth much more than the tokens you are receiving

yes so the need to increase caution in choosing an airdrop is a natural thing, with the thoroughness and insight that we have about the airdrop, it will be more decisive in choosing it, so that no time is wasted when working on it, it is very important to study it in depth so as to avoid disappointment.

The more people that prepare for these airdrops, the smaller the rewards.

Then lastly, and according to your question if their is any genuine airdrop, yes they are, but it's not written on their forehead, Blum, major, tomarket, seed, memefi and the rest, all this project I made mentioned, majority of them might be a complete waste of time, but I believe that one or two of them might comes in handy.

I would pick Blum out of all fo them, as far as I know, at least it has (or should have) some use cases as to being a future exchange and the storage for your crypto. I hope to see it up and running.

The more people that prepare for these airdrops, the smaller the rewards.

You have actually said they key point here, the more the participants the smaller the rewards, the lower the participants the higher the rewards, and this is a typical example of what happens in the Just concluded hamster Kombat token, they have the largest population in participants, and at a point, I was asking one of my guy that can this people pay? Because the numbers of people involve in that telegram tap to earn game was too much and we all knew the final outcome of how the airdrop activity played out, so in essence is that when it comes to airdrop, nothing is certain, but one thing I have observed lately about most of this airdrop is that, any of this project that will pay good money wouldn't be that stressful, but you see those dust of a project, they will certainly over work and over stress you if you are a participant of it.

If you are doing some work before you receive the token then it can no longer be called an airdrop. It becomes your salary because it is the payment you received in return for your work. A true airdrop is like this one: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/get-5-free-bitcoins-from-freebitcoinsappspotcom-183 you just entered your address and received 5 bitcoins without fuss which is worth more than $300k per claim at today's prices.

The other problem with these so called airdrops isn't that they are getting tougher or the reward is smaller because more people know about it. The problem is that what you receive is useless so the only reason why it could gain any value is by hype and based on luck on what price it can gain when it is found on an exchange or token swap platform. If you get lucky you can get a better deal and if not, it is all for naught.

Yeah, with how much T2E and drops are now engraved into some chains, it's a wonder that some are still excited about getting a life change or something out of them Grin You can get some money doing drops even today, but it requires lots of proxies / accounts / being an influencer, etc. Otherwise, it may end up just a small prize for the big effort.

Airdrop right now are hit or miss, you can't really know which one gonna hit the jackpot and which the other that's not worth the time.
so you may increase your odd of making it big by doing all the airdrop, of course it could be a big waste of time as well and may yields nothing.

personally I still think airdrop are still worth it, but I'm talking about the retroactive ones, the tvl based airdrop? not so much, because let's be real here, whales are getting all the rewards and the project don't give two damn about the average people Grin so we might as well just ignore them.

retroactive like layerzero, and so on, that incentivizes interaction with smart contract, I think is the only one that's worth your time, even then some are also waste of time.

on the other hand, if you value your time more, I guess airdrop isn't worth it anymore.
