The more people that prepare for these airdrops, the smaller the rewards.

You have actually said they key point here, the more the participants the smaller the rewards, the lower the participants the higher the rewards, and this is a typical example of what happens in the Just concluded hamster Kombat token, they have the largest population in participants, and at a point, I was asking one of my guy that can this people pay? Because the numbers of people involve in that telegram tap to earn game was too much and we all knew the final outcome of how the airdrop activity played out, so in essence is that when it comes to airdrop, nothing is certain, but one thing I have observed lately about most of this airdrop is that, any of this project that will pay good money wouldn't be that stressful, but you see those dust of a project, they will certainly over work and over stress you if you are a participant of it.

Then lastly, and according to your question if their is any genuine airdrop, yes they are, but it's not written on their forehead, Blum, major, tomarket, seed, memefi and the rest, all this project I made mentioned, majority of them might be a complete waste of time, but I believe that one or two of them might comes in handy.

If you are doing some work before you receive the token then it can no longer be called an airdrop. It becomes your salary because it is the payment you received in return for your work. A true airdrop is like this one: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/get-5-free-bitcoins-from-freebitcoinsappspotcom-183 you just entered your address and received 5 bitcoins without fuss which is worth more than $300k per claim at today's prices.

The other problem with these so called airdrops isn't that they are getting tougher or the reward is smaller because more people know about it. The problem is that what you receive is useless so the only reason why it could gain any value is by hype and based on luck on what price it can gain when it is found on an exchange or token swap platform. If you get lucky you can get a better deal and if not, it is all for naught.

Yeah, with how much T2E and drops are now engraved into some chains, it's a wonder that some are still excited about getting a life change or something out of them Grin You can get some money doing drops even today, but it requires lots of proxies / accounts / being an influencer, etc. Otherwise, it may end up just a small prize for the big effort.

Airdrop right now are hit or miss, you can't really know which one gonna hit the jackpot and which the other that's not worth the time.
so you may increase your odd of making it big by doing all the airdrop, of course it could be a big waste of time as well and may yields nothing.

personally I still think airdrop are still worth it, but I'm talking about the retroactive ones, the tvl based airdrop? not so much, because let's be real here, whales are getting all the rewards and the project don't give two damn about the average people Grin so we might as well just ignore them.

retroactive like layerzero, and so on, that incentivizes interaction with smart contract, I think is the only one that's worth your time, even then some are also waste of time.

on the other hand, if you value your time more, I guess airdrop isn't worth it anymore.

I think you already have an answer in your post. Airdrops that come as a surprise are usually much rewarding that those that are over publicized and have a lot of users participating. I have experience this before, so it shouldn't come in as a surprise.

It's been a very, very long time since I last willingly wasted my time with airdrops. Getting a well rewarding airdrop these days is more like a lottery, and hey, do not ever be deceived in to believing that an airdrop is free. It isn't. The time you waste and sometimes the private data you give away is worth much more than the tokens you are receiving

Honestly, airdrops are becoming more difficult to farm, especially the popular ones. I’m starting to get concerned. The Eigen airdrop was great, I ended up with over $2K just for using the network, without even knowing about the airdrop in advance. It wasn’t as hyped, so not many people were prepared for it.

The more people that prepare for these airdrops, the smaller the rewards. Take Get Grass, for example, they used my internet 24/7 for months, and in return, I got 6 cents... I’m frustrated. I saw it trading in pre-market at $0.96, and if it lists at $1, my 6 Grass would be worth $6. Sure, it’s free, but it hardly feels worth the effort.

I’ve been involved since epoch 3 and honestly expected a bit more. Does anyone share similar thoughts with me or you are all bullish?
