I would say both of them are waste of time as what's the fun of getting some tokens that will be lying dead in your wallet after some time or even get dumped by the whales that you can't even sell them.Have been through this and would not advice you also to this so rather focus on acquiring some skill that can be helpful to you in more useful manner.
Can you make more money participating in bounties or airdrops?
The era of 2016 and 2017, I admit Airdrop and Bounty, the solution to get a lot of income, the current era is not, I give up a lot of scam Airdrops and Bounties, during 2021 and 2022, it is rare for Airdrops and Bounties to succeed to get good results, for that I am now turning to Bitcoin only for investing and trading. Somehow I am always late on airdrops or the ones I apply for mostly look like a total scam.

If you google a little bit, you will find dozens of sites that list all the upcoming airdrops with all the rules but even when doing all the airdrops on these sites, most will be scam or distribute useless tokens.
I personally prefer bounties over airdrops because bounties can give prizes as promised, although it takes a little time in the token distribution process, but bounties can provide maximum benefits in the future, for now I will not participate with airdrops because it will be a waste of time of course, so many airdrop scams and deceiving participants, frankly I'm bored with airdrops and don't want to be in them anymore.
Bounties can also be a complete waste of time as you need to find the good ones... Participated in many bounties before and only 3-5% was really worth doing it in my eyes.

Correction doing bounty is not free you need to obey the rules and do work like advertising the projects to make it well known to most of the investors in crypto. Bounty is different from airdrop but this is a very simple way to get free token but most of the airdrop is very cheap coin or meme coin very low value and some are not listed yet, i always prefer doing bounty than airdrop maybe i am not lucky on airdrop because i didn't earn on it, i get the most earning from bounty.

Airdrops offer very few rewords. And you have to invite your friend for collect more reward. Who is this very annoying. But in the bounty campaign. You can do your job alone. Which is a very easy and Hassle free. And there is no referral problem here.

Bounty and airdrop totally different. airdrop just collect group members and social followers. airdrop not bring any investors. and 95% airdrops members is fake. After complete airdrop task all airdrop hunters are go offline and they search another airdrop. They are not help to actual promote for any project. but on the bitcointalk bounty here all bounty hunters is real and they will work for your project regularly. and it will bring investors and increase project social active activity and increase project demand and population

There are two different sides to participation in Airdrop and Bounty, although both are free programs that generate coins, Airdrop itself is currently starting to lose the interest of many people, while the bounty is still quite large. Bounty campaigns have some way of working social media, and signature campaigns, but so far I personally prefer signature campaigns, moreover you can be accepted on service campaigns that are paid for using BTC 
I joined both Bounties and airdrops a few years ago and base on my experience, bounties are more profitable at that time.
Right now, both of them aren't worth your time (for me). The amount of money you can get is very low compare to the amount of time you are spending.
If you really want to make money, be a freelancer, learn a skill and use it to get online jobs. Relying on both airdrops and bounties themselves isn't enough. TBH, working 9-5 is better than working on these 2.

There's no denying the fact that airdrops and bounty programs have gotten a lot of people interested in cryptocurrency. But there are definitely some differences between these two methods of earning free crypto. For example, airdrops sometimes lack consistency, whereas you can generally expect to receive bounties for completing certain actions with relative ease. If talking about airdrops, it's not as much worth following as it used to be,actually both airdrops or bounties are equally profitable as long as we can use them well but if I had to choose one I would prefer to join the signature campaign,

Airdrop is the best because it didn't require any complicated rather than holding a certain or use a particular dapps to received tokens. Bounty is now useless compared to the old campaigns since the bounty funds is always in a form of tokens that has no guarantee that will gain value right after the IDO.
Startup project nowadays used launchpad to get funds much faster while mediocre project stick to the tradiotional way of ICO and rely on bounty for marketing which always result to failure to accumulate sufficient fund to continue the project.
Airdrops of these days comes with the cost of paying for your gas fee which may be exhausting especially when it's on the ethereum blockchain. Even after spending on the gas fee, there's no certain that the project would do well. The cost of bounties are your time and data. Most bounties are not lucrative, but when you're fortunate to have a good project, then it could be very lucrative.
To me, the two are not much different, both have the same goal of promotion the project. Only the way it works is slightly different, airdrops often have instant tasks that can be completed in no more than a day, but bounties often have long tasks or durations to promote a little long. The thing is that now this type of earnings is not the same as it was before. It takes a lot of time to find something that really deserves attention and time spent. Moreover, the situation on the market is very sad. And at best, ten percent out of a hundred appear projects with a promising future. So there is no definite answer to this question. Use your time wisely. The best thing is to direct your potential to learning and gaining skills in the cryptographic field and IT technologies in general.
