I try not to participate in AirDrops where I need to pass KYC. Even if you are paid these coins, it will be about $ 10-100. It's not worth your passport details. I also do not participate in AirDrops, where you yourself about prepayment should pay the fee

Totally agree with you. I never send any amount if I am asked. Most likely it's scammers. Be careful!
Airdrops asking for your KYC is literally not a good one because its too risky, and your information can be use to attack your accounts. Don't just settle for this kind of amount, better to work with the bounty. We really need to be careful, a lot of scammers and hackers around the world we need to be safe.

Thank you for enlightening us. there are a few things I want to add. AirDrop is definitely not joining if you already want kyc. I do not accept gas charges for airdrop. some bounty's doing the same thing. so if you have something to lose you com you can win in such a cheap situation. now the airdrop does not exceed 3 5 dollars.

Ive seen those situations too which you would need up to send some fees or amounts for them to able to push transactions on sending out tokens but i do see really a dumb thing to do. Airdrop would always been free and this is one of the ways on how to market their tokens.Theres no point on asking out fees because this would really be their obligation and they should have the fund for them to make use of it.
Whatever it is if the airdrop/marketing team of that token requires of any amount to be sent, it's your own will to follow.

But I'll never send any amount if they ask, I'm not a die hard fan of airdrop.
A legit projet will never ask money to us becuase they are actually givin us the money then why they need money from us so don't be a dump and send the fee if they asked ever and as you said most of the airdrops are not worth to do because they might be scam or pay us worthless tokens.
Don't exchange few amount of your ETH to their tokens that are worth nothing.

That's how they are making with these ICOs by collecting funds not only to their investors but to die hard airdrop people.

If you aked when participating in the airdrop, bounty campaign or ICO project, about your personal data or payment details, then this is definitely a scam...

If you stay long enough here in this forum you should notice that airdrops doesn't require us to pay for something because it is totally free and all you have to do is to put your bitcointalk account name and your ether address, and viola. You will get a bunch of either shitcoins or some worthy for short duration coins.

But as of todays airdrops they requires too much information for a single airdrop and it's kind of pain in the ass to write everything but you won't still get enough of it because it was all just a scam coins.

I'm worried when the rewards table is not updated for several weeks, and the admin is not responding to telegrams either. I had several such situations and both of these projects did not pay me tokens.

Doesn't necessarily mean that the airdrops were fake (though it's not excluded). They just might be under-staffed and they just can't handle the load. Wouldn't be the first one, it happened to me, too. Besides, it sometimes takes a lot of time before the distribution. I got one today that I entered in Q1.  Grin

very different there can be explanations for such situations. It happens that there is no information update for half a year, but as a result of distribution the token is successful.

It is not surprising to see frauds and scam in cryptocurrency, people think it's an easy money and they easily be persuaded with ROI projects right now are claiming. I hope there's more platform like menlo.one that can counter this problem right now.

Ideally people just see that this project can give this much returns or see some promotion and believe it. Unless you do not do research and get more knowledge about the project or ICO just do not invest on basis of other. As everybody has their own opinion.

I joined in so many airdrops, and never get paid 😂
Once i get paid, the tokens value is just rubbish....
So, from that moment on, i'm focused to join in social media campaign and signature campaign for junior member, it's a lot to do, but more promising than airdrops

now, with a large likelihood scam projects require you to fill only the Google form. The more conditions in bounty participation, the greater the likelihood that the project will be adequate

When I do Airdrop project, in my opinion, I notice that there are many scam project, for example:
1. 50% project about ETH platform is scam or trash due to the fee of creation (it's too cheap).
2. Some airdrops require us to charge fee GAS before they pay airdrop coin. We should care with it.
3. Some airdrops send us an email to KYC and follow us to a fake side.
...

Any scam methods, please share your experiences in this thread. Thankyou so much

Definitely we need to be AlwAys alert about the emergence of scam in crypto....  It is very hard to earn here and with just a blink of an eye we get be a victims of it.... Yes sometimes airdrops is just a scam....  And also even a bounty project are accused sometimes to be like it....  Maybe before we joined we must research a lot....  It is hard to work now so we better watch our moves here before we regret....

airdrop is much in use for scam and phishing. usually if the email that is used for airdrop in the show on the sphreadsheet becomes the target of the scammer.
if airdrop requires KYC then need to be careful and study the airdrop, because KYC that we input is our original data.

A lot of emails are being sent to me about the KYC in airdrops and its a total shit, be careful on clicking links. Not just in airdrops but in everything here in cryptoworld, bounty can also be a scam so take time to read about the ICO, ask for some details and ask for your friends to help you know if the project is a scam or not.
Don't send your private details to some random people on the internet, they can use your id for doing something bad such a creating exchange account and pass the KYC procedure and then sell those accounts to another people, we all know that demand of this thing is very high. This is the trick that scammers are doing creating a fake airdrop and collecting people's details. I'm advising to not upload your ID even especially in participating in airdrop it's so dangerous.

Agreed. In my experience most of the airdrops promising unreasonably high rewards are fakes or scam attempts. There are exceptions, of course, but those are extremely rare. But on the other hand - if you find a solid project with a good bounty program you can earn a nice sum of tokens.
