To thread initiator:

I speculate that the price is 0.85BTC as I mentioned on the main thread.

I suggest that you either remove the info on suggested price or give it a larger bracket, for fairness sake.

The price has to be near this mark. Give or take a little bit. I'm afraid BITMAIN is basing their long term ROI on forecasted prices of Bitcoin which they should not. If that's the case, their price will likely be too high - I am guessing they will declare a value over 1 BTC. If that's the case, I will not be ordering the 25-50 units I was planning to.

You speculate 0.85 BTC for the Bitmain's retail price or 0.85 BTC for Waldohoover's group buy?  Because either way, Waldohoover's rate in theory should be lower than the one that will be listed on the website soon.

I'd be interested for the upgrade kit.

For now this is just the straight S3, haven't been in talks about the kits, sorry!

That's cool, I'll await the pricing tomorrow and we can go from there. Where are you located in California?

Sounds good! LA/OC region.  Not sure which location I'll use for S/R as of yet, if at all. Smiley

Cool, If you want some help shipping out orders let me know, I'm in Anaheim.

the thing is, if they release their official price tomorrow and adjust their website for orders I dont think alot of people here will want to wait around (myself included)

I can see 50% or more jumping ship and just buying direct

Agreed.  But it depends what kind of price a bulk order can get.  If it's a good miner, most of us will buy a couple over the next few weeks.
So this might be good for a second, third, or whatever, miner.

@ Waldohoover - Forgive me I did not read every page.  Have you had any contact with Bitmain yet?

Regarding an official price, not yet. I believe they haven't finalized their prices as of yet and will not do so until right before their site goes live. This obviously doesn't do us any good but Bitmain isn't stupid. I know they are steadily watching their announcement thread (and maybe here) for the speculative price talk that is going on. I'm sure a lot of that talk gets considered when they do price out their miners. I could be wrong though but as a manufacturer who is for the community I'm sure they do not throw out the idea of community agreed pricing.

I would not be at all surprised it they know the price, it's been set for more than a week, and they only take a cursory look at the speculation thread.  I'm not sure they are that into us.

Who cares what he makes off of it or not.  He is cordial and does his best to please us.  If you get any discount be thankful or don't buy, duh!

Common courtesy man. You jump in here now trying to hijack my interest list?

Sorry if I've come across as a troll but I'm merely trying to be honest. Of course a cut is fair, but I don't see the problem with disclosing to us as a group what the price you get is. Seeing as no single entity is buying a majority of the units.

You may want to take your "you have no capital" statement back as well.

I also explicitly stated 'your making money with no capital' (nothing to do with your finances/bank balance). I might be wrong but you'd be expecting everyone pooling their btc to pay i.e not your own capital.

I'm not a troll buddy, if any form of criticism is trolling then we live in a crazy world.

I honestly have no idea how you do not understand the words "Interest List". You want to take my idea and do it on your own, go ahead, but do it in another thread and do not hijack mine.

I understand fully the concept of an 'interest list' thanks. Without your passive aggressive BS. I don't understand why you have stated figures wont be disclosed.

"Your idea" - I believe 'group buys' and making money are age old techniques. ( I don't know if you're trolling here! lol)

To ratify, I'm not trying to poach your customers. I'm sorry I gave that impression to be honest. My main beef is that I would be more comfortable knowing the numbers and what was paid seeing as users are all in together. (like shareholders, and your essentially the hedge fund manager)

If you willing to work for free either way I don't see the issue, obviously your entitled to make money but surely it should be transparent

Anyway, apologies if I rattled your cage, truly didn't mean to. Maybe I could have worded myself a little more tactfully and constructively.

please remove me from the list

I don't like the 'culty' answer - negativity will not be tolerated? (is that another way of saying don't defy me? - freedom of speech?) I realise that criticism may not feel nice, but it's me being honest.

you guys want me offer a group buy for a forum of peers and be transaparent, I would be more than happy to. I am in the process of opening a UK consultancy for BTC - I have already had several prior conversations with bitmain via mail.

I would also be happy to do it all absolutely transparently (i.e tell you guys at every stage, what money has been collected and how much bitmain offered to cut me a deal for) then pass the savings on YOU (which you would know since you have all the 'official'numbers/prices)

I don't know if this is meant to be 50/50 help other users and make money, or simply to make money.

IF anyone is interested in clear and open group buy, I would be happy to do it (when the S3 is released or close to it of course, orders here are speculative)

In the interest of clarity, I'm not a noobs trying to stir shit and disappear. I'm literally interested in us/myself getting the absolute best deal.
