It doesn't matter if Parker wins or loses, it serves Bitcoin to others what it can be used for - good or evil.

From the uninformed eyes, it just looks like somebody running for Major accepts bitcoins, oppose to that somebody being in bed with Brock Pierce for a while now.

Imagine what an opposing candidate can do to his opponent if they were able to link him to an accused pedophile. I'm just imagining.  

Further imagine what a person with with 20K+ posts can do to Bitcoin Central, et al. if they don't fuckin' return my 1,132 BTC stolen from me via the InstaWallet "hack". Again, I'm just imagining.  

Even further imagine what could happen to many influential people loosely connected to Bitcoin with boy skeletons in their closets if Futher #2 isn't satisfied, albeit that's one helluva imagination.

based on our small sample size, more people think the bitcoin foundation is useful than our politicians.. that's got to count for something, right? or maybe i'm setting the bar too low.

Moving on...

I had almost forgotten what kicked me off down this rabbit hole to begin with.

See, I happen to have been born nary a mile from the border of beautiful Oakland, California, and when I noticed  darkhorse mayoral candidate Bryan Parker was fiercely advocating for Bitcoin integration in the O, well, I was DOWN.

I was so down, until a read a little more about Bryan Parker, corporate wunderkind and...wait a minute, former COO of Affinity Media?!

This should not surprise any of you, but most of these people specifically sought out career paths in Hollywood that ensured they would always be surrounded by young children.

David Neuman (investor/President of DEN, former President of Disney, now Goddard's co-defendant in the Bryan Singer case) has been "giving back" for years:

"Neuman also actively volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for neglected and abused children in Los Angeles County, through the Los Angeles Superior Court." He's been doing that for 20 years!  

Very interestingly, David Neuman's first job out of college was as "a White House Fellow in the Reagan Administration, serving under the Assistant to the President for Cabinet Affairs at the White House."

If we were able to dig up some sort of craaazy pedo conspiracy centered around the Reagan White House in the 1980s, that would be fucking CRAZY, right? RIGHT?

In fact, there was a British-produced documentary that was financed by - and slated to air - on Discovery Channel back in '94. Discovery pulled the plug right after they saw the rough cut, with no explanation besides "after further review, this documentary does not conform with the mission statement of Discovery Channel", yada yada. The director of the doc is fairly certain that Bush Sr. loyalists in the Justice Department (or possibly the CIA) reached out to Discovery and let them know, in no uncertain terms, that airing this doc would not be "kewl".

Question: If The Bitcoin Foundation is so fuckin' irrelevant, then why did KnC pay $100,000 for a Platinum Membership one day prior to the erection to help cement Brock Pierce's win to jack-off on a board seat while reading Teen Beat?

BTW, it was so kind of EU's Facebook data center to lease out that empty helicopter hanger to KnC so that they could occupy its 7,000+ WORKING bitcoin miners within. I haven't yet figured out which of the other buildings on The Node Pole complex houses KnC's other mega-phrams, but I'm working on it.

I probably would be further characterized as a homophone if I pointed out which past or current principals of Facebook are gay and also embrace Bitcoin, so I'll simply won't go there, leaving that task for others to ferret out if warranted.

Why do some users need the drama all the time?

The bitcoin foundation is completely irrelevant when it comes to bitcoin.

If you don't like what they are doing then

1.) Create an other foundation
2.) Do not send BTC their way

 "THE Bitcoin FOUNDATION" ? nonsense. It's not THE anything, except what the wider community envolved with Bitcoin accepts it as. Many don't accept it as The anything anymore, maybe never did, tough to say. But now, let the business community evolve it into what they desire, change the name, give it a new coat of paint, replace the tires, and wax it twice. Better than new once again. Their the one's bidding/buying their seat on it. Let it go is what I believe. Heck, they bought it. whatever...

 It's mostly and primarily a group of Businesses involved with Bitcoin. So name it as such and be done with it.

i'm thinking the foundation will continue to exist, despite the controversy. negative public opinion is not enough to bring them down.

I think that this move signs the end of the fondation or at least the way it is right now, Money speaks here and buying a platinum membership + the already goldmembership of his own company  what made him win his seat, and the whole bitcoin ecosystem was to avoid such sham and it seems the old good habbit are still in place here

 The more I most reluctantly read about this matter the sicker in the pit of my stomach I get. Even trying to avoid this is just not possible here.


 These alleged victims and alleged crimes:

 Law Enforcement needs to vet this out, all of it, without further delay, if not already.

 Whomever dug this up on this sub-topic with links to other sites and any other evidence needs to send this stuff all to law enforcement, asap. It's a matter of the law. Isn't it a criminal act to not report serious felony crimes of this type?

 Whomever dug this stuff up needs to locate the proper email address to send a link to the appropriate criminal department in LA or Hollywood, CA , or maybe LA County Sherrifs??? Or even the FBI.

 It really should be the one whom uncovered these things and started this/these threads, the one that did the investigative work all things considered,  he/she likely has a vastly better clear scope and grasp to brief them as possibly needed.

 This is too heartbreaking at this point... But this thread: Over the Top and more...sickening.

 Guilt by mere association??? Possibly. Certainly. A benefit of the doubt is always in order at these stages. But this is just far too much to let go untouched by experts in Law Enforcement. If there are victims, especially many victims, Law Enforcement will be able to interview them and get to the bottom of these horrific allegations.

 That is what Law Enforcement is for, to sort these things out thoroughly. That's one of many reasons why we pay so much in taxes.

Enough already.

 Surely altogether this is more than enough to launch a full blown, wide reaching criminal investigation, possibly in many jurisdictions across the globe. In this case: interview potential victims is the only starting point after reviewing these links.

 If this is true and no one investigates because it's not reported we're all responsible here. I hate even coming near this, I am certain many others do to.

The scum in open source rises to the top more often than the cream. The only real crippling drawback I've found with open source projects that are not associated with a commercial enterprise is the vacuum of employee review. The reason Human Resources departments use degreed professionals is to protect the project and the company from losers. If you apply for a position at Intuit, Adobe, Oracle, Autodesk, Teradata or any of the hundreds of others you will be thoroughly critiqued. They will review your education, work history, criminal background check, credit report and personal references until they are sure you are a stable/ethical person. Bitcoin just takes anyone that says, "I'll do it".
