With bitcoin block reward halving imminent, there should be some interesting times ahead for alt coin miners. Will we see a new record high litecoin difficulty this week?

WTF! 53Ghash already. maybe one person is trying to get in early in hopes to make a fortune

i doubt trx is gonna last long, for as soon as speculators mine enough coins the mining will stop and diff will go to 0 in no-time

of course big spikes. but the currency could last...

for what reason do u think so, so far i didnt see nothing special about it, just another fork in our network.
cheers

will there soon be exchange for trc ?
really badly wanna trade some LTC for TRC...

bitparking is usualy the first to offer trading for newer coins, i check trcexchange.bitparking.com daily hoping it will be there Smiley)

cheers

DoubleC already declined creating a TRC exchange. Don't get your hopes up.

I likely doubt BTC-e.com will create one either.

IMHO TRC is not likely to go very far in terms of development.

So, with 2gh/s btc (2mh/s ltc) what would you all recommend right now?

With current difficulties/prices, at 2Ghash/2Mhash, BTC is slightly more profitable, by a margin of a few cents, so at this point, I would say its 100% up to preference.

Do keep in mind though, when you are playing with the calculations, Litecoin mining uses a bit more electricity, and more heat.

Check out http://allchains.info/calc.html and mess around with the numbers.

btc also uses less power since you can underclock the memory much more.

I do see a slight decrease in LTC hashrate in the recent week, but I also see a rally of BTC against LTC, which are historically also linked.  I would say people who mine TRC has reduced LTC hashrate by 1-5% or so.

Maybe we are losing hash power to Terracoin? I certainly notice that mining LTC my GPU's get a lot hotter then mining Bitcoin/aka Terracoin. :-)

Even so, if it drops more, I'll jump back to LTC. :-)
