You’re in crypto, possibly the most risky market there is right now, so realize that before you put money into the market, nothing and I mean nothing is a sure bet.

2018 is the year of regulation, which most likely means governments enforce AML/KYC. Some privacy coins may do well this year, but as an investment I think they are too risky with regulations potentially dropping the hammer.

The risk is higher, so you should not only focus on the ICO. Distribute your capital among several ICO, the second part may be stored in several altcoins, and the third part of the output in the euro.

In this regard, this year's risk is greater, do not forget.
no one knows. This year we will have ICO collecting funds, as well as some platforms for storing blockchain data. Who knows how technology will evolve and in what direction.

I thinks yes there ara more risk for alt coins. We can see new a lot of coins that may are scam. %49 of ıcos were scam in 2017 so I don't trust a lot of new ıcos. We should be carefull about this stiation.

With all this FUD and banning, do you think we will have as many ICO growths as we did last year?
And are the risks higher!??

I think that the number of ICO will decrease. But the reason for this will be the bad experience of 2017. Not many projects collected the necessary amount to run. If a weak product and there is no good team, then many will leave this idea alone. Investors have already been taught bad experiences and are now very attentive to the choice of the project. Well, the reasons you mentioned, of course, will affect the reduction in the number of ICO.

We've been a lot of FUD and banning lately, and it really affect the growth of ICO's. People might see the potential on cryptocurrency which  started to have been widely known last year. But people are becoming aware that when there is FUD, prices might go down so they are all  wise now, taking profits when there is pump. Cryptocurrency is risky, and when its just starting its really much riskier. So better do our job in researching whats best ICo to invest in.

Don't  see any connection between ICOs amount and FUD. An ICO is business and there is no place for any FUD there. Yes,  there are scammer and lovers,  but there are thousands of ICO success stories.

It is all about taking risks while gathering more as you go, just imagine an elevator, it goes down and it goes up, depending on the people who will be entering and going out from it and the time duration they stay inside, same with coins, they go up and they need to go down take some piece from down while going up...

I think 2018 will be a great year for alts, once BTC begins to stabilize after it recovers fully, I think we'll see a nice rise in most alts. ICOs have always carried risk but can be very lucrative if you research and find the gems.

I would invest in some altcoins, but only in reliable ones. But when it will pump - I will sell it and hold in BTC and ETH.

I'm not afraid these FUD and bans, but there is another threat I guess. The economical situation at the crypto market changes and the countless amount of new projects can lead to the long term downtrend of already existed projects.

Of course that trading altcoins is risky. Nobody should want to be a milionaire overnight. Always invest only capital that you can lose, never use all your available money.
When the altcoin in which you have invested doubles, cash out the half back to get your initial investment and you will still have some % of the coin when it moons and you will have back fiat that you invested - this is most save strategy. If your coin dropped, just HODL and hope for better tomorrow, never panic sell at high loss.

Cryptocurrencies will always be risky regardless of the year.  Owning cryptocurrencies will have risks such as financial losses, being hacked, theft/robberies, lack of sleep, depression, etc.  Staying low profile and investing with money you don't need can help reduce some of these risks.

Altcoins are not a risky investment in 2018 as many of the altcoin were launched in the previous year and the trends of them have given a perspective on which coins present a future value and which do not. Since there are hundreds of altcoins present in the cryptocurrency market today it is likely for some to succeed.
The usage of the certain project will allow him to succeed, investors are wise now they will buy coins that have potential to grow so investing is not risky if you know where to place your investment, learn more about the project and see how the developers works, if you see that there's a high chance that the
project will progress then proceed and wait after some time, it is not the year but the trends that will move the coins.

ICO remains a good way of raising funds. Whether folks fall for this or that project or demand that it's absolutely transparent is another matter. So I think nothing changes fundamentally in 2018. The government may adopt a tougher approach in regards with crypto and ICO, but you can still invest as long as you believe the team

Getting into cryptocurrency itself is high risk, but again we all know that risk taking is the only way of getting results. Taking calculated risks is however advised, get to know what you are investing in first then invest., prices fall and you lose, what really matters is how consistent you are and how you get back after a loss.

with experience from past scams, i think this year will be tight security wise because the ones scammed learned and the new altcoins may come in with improved systems to avoid falling into the scammers trap.

Because more and more countries began to prepare the regulatory ICO market, so that means more and more of the ICO project normalization, may in this year, it is difficult to see a bogus project, then it is a good time to an investment.
