I think he is brave enough to take risks but the questionable thing here is that he doesn't know much about crypto he's still a student so I think it takes time to do his own research, he has to do it so knowing about investing in crypto is not easy, he has a lot of free time so he should be able to set aside time to study crypto

As long you not use money that be used for daily needs maybe try spot with big coinmarketcap coin is almost safe, not suggest future trading because it can drain all of your money if the times come. With spot i think to minimize risk have high possibility.

If you need to choose in these two token only, then i think you can invest half amount in ETH and half in BNB. Both of them are safe investments and will give you good returns in 2021. There are some other good investment coins too like DOT or ADA but since your portfolio is only worth 200$, you can only buy one or two coins.

Nothing wrong in finding gems, cause if he's opportune to buy one gem it could turn this $200 into a thousands of dollars, it all demands on making the right decision, there are thousands of coins on coinmarketcap.com and coingecko, if he could be wise enough and make a good decision to buy a coin that has good potentials and lots of room to grow, even though it's kind of hard since there are so many shitcoins in the market now, maybe buying the top 10 altcoins will be a better choice.

Well, the posts I am seeing here so far gave me some good information on what to possibly research on and check if these coins are worth it. Definitely putting my eye on the ones that has very aggressive up and down swings so that you can earn in the shortest time and not just wait for the high pay. I do agree what many are saying here that due diligence is still important when it comes to knowing the coins and the company behind it. Just make sure you invest smart and not just use emotions.
