I would go for the ones who present real solutions. Right now the best altcoin that offers the options to develop real live applications based on smart contracts IMO is Ether. Other that eth there's Dash, who is said to have the infrastructure to apply smart contracts and of course Monero, the preferred anon coin
VeriCoin has updates coming out soon, a new wallet, a new app that will be used, two blockchains coming together also, I see potential in this coin and think now is a good time to invest before they get pumped hard.

I don't mean to be dismissive, but PIVX has a lot of new features and improvements from Dash including it's far more communal Masternode and Proof of Stake see-saw setup... what does EXCL have?
Dashes setup with POW is >>>> POS, what features does PIVX have on top ? From what I see they are still on Bitcoin core 0.10 because of POS and Dash itself is on Core 0.12 so that instantly degrades the quality of PIVX codebase.

Yup i totally agree with your point one can't simply just invest in any altcoins because it's new and they ate claiming to have high potential and next bitcoin. I normally check coinmarket and analyse the price daily. I can surely say cloakcoin and eth are the best investment

Eth, dash are worth buying as these coins are progressive in the exchange. As trading day by day these coins was pumped and can be profitable. But invest on what you can afford to lose. Just buy at a low price so we can earn profit well.

Monero and Dash are pumped very nicely which is not the case with few other coins that have even better anon solutions, or better "promises". Only one thing is on my mind, everything is about money, and every coin can be used for this with little help of hyper groups..

I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.
You can invest in Ethereum and Decred.Decred is the most under valued coin.
Yes, when compared to Decred, Ethereum has a great future because the price of the Ethereum keeps increasing. Right now it is not good to buy Ethereum because already the price of Ethereum is high, so wait until the price of Ethereum decreases.

Based on my study, it would be better to have ETC, XMR, NXT, VSL, ICN and SNGLS in your portfolio for now. You can flip them after 4 to 6 months or hold on to 2 years time frame and see for yourself. The future is for the next killer Dapp and I think VSL, ICN and SNGLS has potential. ETC, XMR and NXT has some more room to appreciate in value.
Why not the ETH. I heard ETC is a hack coin.

Why would anyone want to buy ETC? Wasn't the whole reason there was a fork was that a bunch was stolen? Why would you want a coin that has been compromised like that?
ETH is now centralized controlled voting by a few. ETC will surpass ETH eventually
