There are some altcoins that still manage to increase in price even when the market is red, this is a very small of altcoins though, but generally speaking, many alts have not really perform the way btc have this past weeks, i think the demand for alts is not as strong for now mainly because most alts don't have real life usage that will increase the demand and also price.
Some altcoin prices have risen significantly, although the price of bitcoin has not touched $11K this year. This is very interesting to learn, given the statement that altcoin will follow the price of bitcoin.
Sure, they are the future. But still strongly backed by Bitcoin. Investors need to increase their confidence on altcoins. Non developed and scam projects are a hurdle to the entire altcoin future.

As a new investor, my focus is investing on the right coin even if it is a new coin as long as it has a good potential in the market and the developers are also transparent with dealings with investors
All altcoins on the market are dependent on Bitcoin, so if altcoin wants to go to the moon it must be behind bitcoin. At the moment bitcoin is stuck at $ 9k, so I think it will be long before the altcoin can hit the moon.

couldn't make up what OP is trying to say for sure. If you are taking about Alt season than no one knows for sure but there is a recent report published by coinbase which indicates most of it's customer purchase bitcoin to later buy altcoins.

No doubt, we are feeling this is the best time to reach the moon through any altcoin. But l think altcoins are working on base of BTC.the market price still fluctuate. So l can say it is difficult.

Instead of worrying about a collective altcoin bull run, why not do the basics? figure out a plan and choose the best altcoins you will research about.
Then find out the focal points needed for investment, invest and wait for profits.

I am lucky to say I experienced the altcoin party way back 2017. That time every single alts even the scams ones are going up. I believe this year would be a prosperous year to all crypto holders. We are going to experience another bull run before 2021.
There are tons of promising altcoins out there, including tons of useless ones. Whenever you choose an alt to invest in, you need to do your due research on it first. Investing blindly can be real damaging to your portfolio.

Every project has an advantage in the technology it offers, including now so much with new innovations to facilitate investors with their own products so I think we are still far from the word altcoin to the moon because market prices are still fluctuating and not stable if bitcoin has started showing signs of rising now.

Honestly I'm still trying to figure out what you're trying to say. But from your topic, I don't know the exact or names of altcoins you're saying to the moon. Because from the situation of market presently, to the best of my knowledge, there hasn't been any altcoin going to the sky let alone moon. Let's just be optimistic that things will improve as we want and the market will smile at us.

I dont think so. Even with low dominance of Bitcoin, we can still see a hard time for altcoin to drive up without any backed up by bitcoin. We all knew that once bitcoin is down, these altcoin also follow through. See eth and xrp they are down a lot too cause bitcoin is rapidly going down. I believe bitcoin will always have a huge effect on altcoin movement. Unless altcoins has certain reason or any good aspiration to improved alone.

Yes, of course, they have a chance provided that they have something to offer to the community, investors are always on the look for new technology in Cryptocurrency, new platform that the community can use if investors can see that in new coins or existing altcoins they will have a chance to go to the moon.

What kind of a new flagship that you have talked it? altcoin is not yet going to the moon and bitcoin is getting the correction right now which can lead into the worst dump to make the price of bitcoin to go back again below 9k level.
