Yes there are some good airdrops but many of them are a waste of time, I signed up for a lot of them but got very little.
I missed out on some important airdrops that have skyrocketed in price, but in general I don't subscribe to many of them anymore.

The best airdrops were and will remain forever those made on Bitcointalk  between 2013 and 2017, now 99% are a great waste of time and sometimes even money. The few good airdrops today almost all go to whales.
there are actually quite many good airdrops out there, nowadays airdrop doesn't always mean scam, prominently those that comes from big project that has been invested hundred millions by big venture capital most of them just outright giving good airdrops.

can't really call sui airdrop can't it, it requires you to invest, even though your money instantly turned into thousands of dollars regardless it still requires you to invest, arbitrum airdrops was massive and the rewards much more than sui.

Some say airdrops retroactive arent profitable. Maybe for some its a waste of time but for others thats plenty of money already and could been helpful to their financial status in life. Im giving of my airdrops receive so far and hoping to gain with other protocols too.  Can you share yours?

*Arbitrum 1500 tokens (free)
*Sui Network 1500 tokens ($45 for joining allowlist at $0.03 per tokens)

I'll update the thread for the next drops that I would receive from doing testnet and retroactive tasks.
Were there even more real airdrops yet? Those were most famous ones and i totally missed out on both of them. But i can't win every time and i was lucky with IMX and GODS airdrops back in day. With those i didn't get any heads up. I just managed to get them by being early at the right place. It would be fun to know about any hot ones and how to get them. I mean i tried to get ARB but i guess i didn't do enough to be eligible.

It's said to be an airdrop if you get the token for free, it can be from just pasting a wallet address or doing some tasks. But can spending $45 count as an airdrop? isn't that an allocation and have to pay to get that allocation? I think you should change your narrative...

You inattentively read the OP's post, since he was not talking about airdrops, but about retroactive airdrops. And the main difference between them is that retroactive airdrops is distributed among early project participants who test the network at an early stage and spend real money on it. It is for this reason that we see such generous airdrops that allow the participant to repeatedly cover their expenses.

None so far since I’m not making any effort to participate with them but I hope to start soon and have luck in this. Many hunters made a lot of profit because of their hard work to trust the new projects on their early phase, i believe they really deserve it. To those who didn’t make it like me, don’t worry because our time will come and all we have to do is to start working now.

SpaceID so far, i was late or not involved in the previous airdrop, but now am neck deep into some of the major ones upcoming like zksync, starknet, sei, layerzer0, linea, scroll, zeta chain.
The way airdrop are being run at present, participants are expected to get involved by interacting with either the testnet or mainnet, gone where the days when people just give out free tokens without doing nothing, nowadays, you need to interact and invest on transaction. It is all about rewarding those who are ready to invest a little of their time and money.
there is always time, but as for me, an airdrop is, in principle, a free distribution of the product that they advertise, and since most companies now practically sell participation in an airdrop, I don’t see wasting my time on such drops, before there were drops in which it was possible to do well earn just for participating

the airdrop at all, eligible because I was trading some meme shitcoin back in 2020/2021 in Arbitrum. Funny how that worked out Cheesy 1K USD for joining Discord and trying out testnet was surely nice too. What activity are you doing in zkSync now?
Yeah dont expect too. Sometimes airdrops are coming at the least you expect it. For now doing some swap on tokens on zksync that are potental since its still low in marketcap. Degen trading mate.

It's not exactly free. To get 1,500 tokens, you still had to invest in transactions or providing liquidity in the Arbitrum network.
I think it is considered free since I am bridging and trading on arbitrum on purpose with some tokens on their network before. Buying and selling so i expected to incurred some fees. I think every thing has fees now. But I didnt think of the criteria for the drop. Didnt even do some task for it. Just exactly doing degen trades on that. Some gains some lose. Then kaboom airdrop claim activated.

It's not exactly free. To get 1,500 tokens, you still had to invest in transactions or providing liquidity in the Arbitrum network. According to different estimates it was necessary to spend $20-50 in commissions to get that amount of tokens. If you provide more liquidity, the amounts were much larger, the address could send 7,500 tokens and even more than 10,000 I saw.

In January there was a testnet, called ipor, there you could get 100 tokens and sell them for $ 2.5, that is about $ 250 for each account.

Sadly, I missed all airdrops because I’m too lazy or scared to try other blockchain. What website are you using to determine what project has the potential to launch an airdrop. The last airdrop that I join successfully is very long time and it just happened that I’m really using their dapps without knowing of the potential airdrop.

I’m happy to follow this thread or if anyone can recommend a website that shows the calendar or list for the potential airdrop. This info will be appreciated.

Well congrats to getting those tokens for basically free. I did not get the Arbitrum airdrop even though i have read a couple of times in different telegram channels that there might be an Arbitrum airdrop many weeks or even months before the airdrop actually happened but i still did not make any actions on the Arbitrum chains because i was to lazy so that was completely my own decision.
At Sui it was different though. I interacted with the testnet a bit also minted an NFT and stuff like that, but what i did not do was to join their Discord and this was a necessary step in  order to be eligible to join the allowlist. I also did not take part in the public ale on KuCoin because i thought 0,1 per coin was way to much given the fact that the allowlist could buy for 0,03$.

It just because people hardly finds reliability in many of these airdrops that's why they don't want to waste their time anymore on what amount to nothing at rhe end, but it's a very good idea to hunt after as a newbie, most of the experience cryptopreneurs don't have time for airdrops.

That's a good idea as well, many may be interested especially the newbies and they will definitely come for it because this is the specified board for them to showcase their interest and bids for altcoins and tokens.

You got a nice arb airdrops. Honestly I am aiming for the zksync hopefully those sybil got caught. They are eating too much alloc for legit users.

I think using Arbitrum eligibility criteria, e.g. bridging, making regular trx with decent volume, could be a good benchmark.

there are also many other projects that say this has great potential although it is still difficult to predict when it will provide the airdrop.
Yeah we're probably still months or even years away from zkSync airdrop. What other projects are you looking at? Tbh there are so many upcoming L1/L2 projects now I can't keep up anymore. Also not sure how these upcoming chains will gain any traction and usage, especially if they don't have any competitive advantage compared to existing popular chains.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Mine was just the Arbitrum, got over 2K ARB tokens. I think most people are now focusing on Layer Zero, zkSync, and Starknet. Not sure how significant the airdrop will be considering there's probably already millions of addresses from people sybilling Cheesy
It's also quite satisfying to get an ARB airdrop above 2k and over, but with people getting the allowist from SUI that also provides a high return on capital of $ 45 this will certainly be very rare. lol

zkSync tweeted that they have reached 1.5M+ active wallets indicating that more and more are participating retroactively in this project, there are also many other projects that say this has great potential although it is still difficult to predict when it will provide the airdrop.

I think sybilling must have done it a lot because it remembered the last arbitrum airdrop.

I'm still on the rocks on checking and participating in airdrops as to thinking that it may lead to unexpected things happening and the effort done is not worth it. I'm still on the rocks on it to do it. I want to follow you on your opinion about this.

45$ dollars airdrop reward in the token is a good start
No mate thats what Ive spend for sui since they got an allowlist on exchanges. Some form of token sale and if you are chosen you are likely got a chance to invest with $45 at $0.03 per tokens.

But can spending $45 count as an airdrop? isn't that an allocation and have to pay to get that allocation? I think you should change your narrative.
Oh sorry, but with the allowlist slot. I think that allocation considered an airdrop even we need to pay $45 for that.

What activity made you qualify for Sui sale? I wasn't following Sui at all.
Honestly I did tried their testnet on their app sui wallet however the criteria for the sui sale I did eligible is due to joining discord only. The slot though for the token sale was raffle. Just lucky to be pick.

45$ dollars airdrop reward in the token
Earning $45 from airdrop
$45 is the cost of acquiring 1500 SUI tokens I believe, which is worth about $1.6K now

Talking about the airdrop I got in 2023, I don't really remember the name of the token, but I got it from some new shitcoin project. Even though it's not that big in terms of nominal money, it's quite worth it because we also do easy tasks like making tweets and sharing.
