many old altcoins have lost prices in various cryptocurency markets because there are many new altcoins that continue to be launched through ICO and IEO. but in my opinion Altcoin will be able to last a long time because developers have the ability to continue to create the latest products for the altcoin growth. if there is no development of a project it will experience a loss in competing in the cryptocurency market because there are so many competitors who always develop their projects to continue to survive for a long time.
The more new coins that are present in the crypto market, will certainly enliven the crypto world.
Rather than enliven the market, more coins will dilute it. I'm not even sure what the newest coins are, but I *am* sure that there hasn't been anything better than bitcoin, eth, or any of the top coins already on the market. There are too many coins out there and the market is saturated with them. It's no wonder why prices are in the crapper right now.These new projects are just actually being guided by the old coins. This will in no way affect the prices of the old ones.
You're probably right that new ones won't affect the value of older coins. The good, established altcoins have strong communities and have actual value. All the new coins coming out now, as well as those garbage tokens, don't really add anything to what's already here. That's the reason why I don't get excited when I hear about new coins, especially stable coins. I'm quite happy with what I own right now. It is very hard to look in the future, especially when it comes to crypto currencies. But generally, I did not mention that any new altcoin has effected the prices of the old ones. Furthermore, there were no projects that truly succeeded.
The reason for being unable to predict future of coins is the volatile nature of the market but still some rough predictions could be made regarding famous coins. Altcoins such as ethereum have goof market and history as well. This altcoin alters the prices of rest of the altcoins as bitcoin does with it. But as far as new coins are concerned, they need couple of years in order to put influence on other coins. The more new coins that are present in the crypto market, will certainly enliven the crypto world. My question is how do you look at the future of the altcoin, with fairly tight competition. Will it affect the price of old altcoins, such as Ethereum, XRP and others.
New coins are available today as a result of old coins. These new projects are just actually being guided by the old coins. This will in no way affect the prices of the old ones. It would be fun to watch too, what happens in years to come. It is very hard to look in the future, especially when it comes to crypto currencies. Of course, old coins are unbeatable as it has a good number of investors and so many supporters are holding it still in the market. Altcoins are good to invest your money but only old coins are good otherwise people are showing a lack of trust for those coins which are new in the market and yet they don’t have a number of investors in it but with the passage of time it all will increase.

I see altcoin in terms of team and news and in developing the project, I think the new altcoins can affect the price, although the price changes are not too significant
In my opinion the old altcoins will still stand firm in the market and will not suffer too much despite the new altcoins more and more. 
Yes, it’s surely going to happen because coins are not new in the market but a few coins have a long history so it has a strong value in a market that's totally unbeatable. Bitcoins, ETH and Ripple is not the only name but these coins are having great value that till now no other coins have achieved. New coins are still struggling so low market value can make them vanish otherwise they will have to get a high number of investors in a short time.In my opinion, old coins can still survive because they are supported by a large transaction volume and investors do not believe in new projects. Investors will certainly await the development of new projects to replace old ones while old coins always develop their platforms so they last a long time

How many new coins are there in the top-50 list in coinmarketcap? I can count just a handful, including altcoins such as Chainlink and UNUS SED LEO. 90% of the coins among the top-50 are old ones (i.e created on or before 2017). The problem is that there are too many coins right now and the combined market capitalization continues to go down. Under such circumstances, there is no scope for new coins (unless they prove to be exceptionally good ones).
There is still a future of Altcoin's but not this time because their value will just go down and it might take time to rise because people will just sell them off to acquire and accumulate more bitcoin which is very practical. But some altcoin's price today are going uptrend and maybe some investors are making their move to increase its price following up to bitcoin.
And for me only the top 10 altcoins are really worth it to invest and i think the rest arw just a copy-cat code.
Top 10 coins in this market are not bringing much profit this year because these are old options and are repeated many times during the past few years. I think we should look for new coins that have just launched this year to make a profit because those are coins that will change your life if you're lucky. I have come up with many new plans and are holding some coins like Atom because this is one of those coins that is expected to be very promising in the near future. And for me only the top 10 altcoins are really worth it to invest and i think the rest arw just a copy-cat code.

their present and future can change very fast if new projects start a strong marketing policy and if they become strong competitors for existing altcoins

Certainly all old coins have a big volume so its not problem also for them to increase up, it depends for the potential for new coins if there are a lot of investors want to buy from it.

The existence of new coins certainly has an influence on other coins, in addition to the increasingly fierce competition between coins with their respective advantages, I think that continues to strive to develop what they bring into cryptocurrency that will last a long time and of course many investors will choose to invest into the coin. For altcoins to breath well and have worth, there should be kinda monitoring as the way in which projects are coming up is actually alarming and some of these exchanges lack liquity. Worst is, some team aren't concerned over their token dump instead they do more and more. The only thing to increase and make alticoin bright is by breaking down projects without future (delisting) already listed and good regulation.

My opinion only with ethereum, ripple and litecoin become altcoin assets good for future investment, have top ten position on coin marketcap become profitable if you holding and save for long term, You can invest with ethereum and litecoin for future investment because both this coin have seriously with build their project at the future with looking big partner.
