other possibilities you did not mention? That any other coin has potential for it. But ok lah. I prefer to ETH, I think eth will be better for the future, for the other two coins I am less sure will bolted far. So my prediction for ETH
Hero token and exchange union will have a good prospect to becoming a mature altcoin in 2020, looked at the roadmap and who its supports, I think this coin will have a future in 2020

I think following will be there
1) Ripple / because of its application in banking use
2) Ether / because its smart contracts and scripting functionality
3) Dash / Instant send and private send
For me I go for ETH, BCH, XRP and LTC since these coins are the top four altcoins in CoinMarketCap. I think as time approaches on to 2020 those list may change since there are a lot of altcoins available on the market that may surpasses to those coins listed above. I am not an expert in predicting but I just give a try and those are my chosen altcoins to survive by 2020. I think following will be there
1) Ripple / because of its application in banking use
2) Ether / because its smart contracts and scripting functionality
3) Dash / Instant send and private send
That's to much for now, then why are we mentioning those old traded coins? Let's just look the new promising one and it might also better to see the nice future of pillar coin. The market capacity of that coin is good and based on the analysis that I seen now it may range to 400k sats per coin, due to the sell demand was commonly been ordered in the market depth at cryptopia. I guess that time in the future of 2020 altcoins might also surges higher compared of this years trading histories.
I think Ethereum will survive and it will remain popular in 2020 because with the popularity of ETH as Altcoin so it can be in the top rank and also the community so that people who support altcoin is very much.
I agree with you because at this time ETH is in great demand by many people in the future ETH will also definitely have more devotees, I think the popularity of ETH in the world of crypto is hard to beat other altcoin.

We dont know what will happen in 2020 or if its still exist. We dont know. But as I saw the list of the altcoins, I think ethereum will still on the list after 2020.

Can be said since the last 2 years the development of altcoin very rapidly, even in 2017 is the year most new coins. I think this trend will continue for up to 5 years as more and more people and companies are interested in investing in altcoin.
