Ethereum is one of the best "current" coins, but I'm a bit hesitant if the ethereum is able to get through the tough times that will come until 2020. I instead prefer Ripple that will last until 2020. I know that most projects now use ethereum, but We are talking about resilience here and Ripple is better.
I think ethereum is still the best because I think ethereum is more widely used and has a lot of smart contract to make the altcoin quality and potential, Ripple I think it has potential in terms of technology but no potential develop

Okay. The list and reasons you mentioned here are pretty convincing and I'm with you on this. Ripple being "centralised" has big potential to explode in the market. It may catch up the prices that we never thought of due to its application in banks, as you mentioned. I'm also happy with ethereum progress due to it's twin characters matching the bitcoin. People are trusting it more now a days and most of the ICO projects are based on it. Good choice and nice speculation about them. Hope to see them rock in 2020.

siacoin is nothing liek PIVX. Decred could be similar, but with way better development.

ETH will always rise because nowadays most of new projects comes on base of ETH. LTC and XRP also rise in upcoming year.
Hopefully so and I think it will get better because Ethereum is very popular and is often used in ICO.

I am following no.2 ETther , it has strong community and have a big impact to the people. also its price is surging up high so I bet Ether as an altcoin can survive in the near future.
