Almost half a bitcoin volume across the whole Exchange today... Not bad!

Oooh! That's good news.

Me still talking to the solar guy in my town about getting my laptop set up to run on a solar panel.

42-coiners are trying to make contact with a computer-coding college named '42.' If we can contact these young coders, I can give them a few bucks worth of 42 to learn with. On Xchange.

Nice 42-coin trading yesterday. And 1000 sats in the faucet.

[Gorgeous autumn morning here this morning.]

Beautiful spring day here, really cool out and cloud!

In other exciting FreeBitcoins.com news:  It appears that Google Adsense has unbanned us!  You may see google ads around our site these days... which is really exciting.

Hopefully Facebook will allow FreeBitcoins.com links to be posted soon and we should be good to rock and roll.  (if you want to help us, please dispute the facebook ban of Freebitcoins.com by trying to post our URL in Facebook and then contesting the post block at the bottom of the page!)

Google Adsense will provide us with additional revenue that is badly needed for our site to grow.  I'm trying not to get too excited, but it looks promising.

Ignore the farm-looking background. This is a mustang stallion with two mares and a foal, just a half a mile down behind my farm house. They don't bolt because I have been talking to them for about three years.

Serious stuff first:

us 42-coiners are entirely satisfied with Xchange. My notion -- maybe it's a little old school -- is that the possibility of a pinch of free coin for an absolute newcomer is important for adoption.

And I am newly enthused with my POS-coins project. It's gratifying to see one's predictions happenin' along.

There's a penny of 42-coin in the faucet.

[OMG OMG -- better put something else in the post, or it may be deleted. Sheeesh.]

We are about to remove the "Lots" trading stuff from our platform... that will make it MUCH easier to give a smaller amount of 42 coin.

At the moment, the faucet scavengers just eat it alive.  We will lower the amount given after we complete this update.

They must need it though, considering the work we are putting them through! haha

Thanks, BAC. Us 42-coiners get to boast here: 100 sats of 42 is a nice score.

I don't begrudge the amount folks get at the faucet. Just would like to see most of that coin go to trading rather than just being dumped on the bottom side.

I don't hate against people who use the faucet either.  I think it's important to give the people what they want to a point.

I will say this, since your first donation, I have implemented a number of security / deturing things to prevent just the absolutely rape of our faucet:

1.  We have a custom captcha that I haven't seen botted yet... although, bots aren't a big deal in professional faucet rapers because they have rooms full of people.  I update these captchas every few weeks or as we are getting abused.

2.  All accounts require having 2fa turned on in order to have faucet privillages.

3.  All new accounts must wait 24 hours before being able to use the faucet.  This gives our FreeBitcoins AI (lol aka me) time to sort out the ones that annoy me! Tongue

I'm not trying to limit people's faucets... it's just there is a right way and a wrong way to abuse someone and we try to "educate" them.  Tongue

It's part of my faith to feed the hungry and that is what I feel like we are potentially doing here.  I try not to judge, but I also want to give to as many real people as possible.

Our faucet folks love those 42 coins though haha!  Thanks so much for your donations my friend.  I hope your big birds are well.

IndiaMikeZulu just popping in and being cheery.

This turned up elsewhere. Dang -- are these the guys who were accepting Bitcoin for hot sauces in the US years ago?

https://freebitcoins.com/blog/freebitcoins-exchange-and-faucet-is-adding-chia-blockchain/

FreeBitcoins.com announced today our intent to add the Chia Blockchain to FreeBitcoins on or around May 3, 2021. Free Bitcoins will be listing Chia to our altcoin exchange, faucet, & swap tool.

XChange allows users to be able to buy and sell Chia with Bitcoin using our full-service altcoin exchange. The Faucet will allow users to earn a small amount of Chia and learn how to trade for free. Swap tool allows users to place an anonymous market order on the Chia market without needing to register an account on our exchange.

I first heard about Chia in a Wownero discord chatroom. I wrote it off at first but after a little research and luck… I think I’m a Chiaer! 😛 (I made that word up just now ftr.)

Chia was founded by Bram Cohen, the inventor of the BitTorrent network. (Sidenote: Someone from the BitTorrent team invited me to come to look at their office in SF before they sold their company… I was flattered by the invite, but I wasn’t able to make it. [Just-dice chat])

I also noticed that Chia is owned by the Cypherpunk Holding company. I like some of the projects that they have and do support… so this was the straw that broke the camel’s back!

Our team is fully devoted to getting Chia live by Monday!

We do need a small amount of Chia to test our system. If anyone feels generous to send a few Chiacents our address is:

xch1rryeeed70fr93x5a5aesfm3u24htzz5r6ks2wvfprwj848fv9kesan8y7y

I will continue to keep you posted on our Chia progress.

Yes! FreeBitcoins.com loves users that use Wasabi Wallet for both deposits and withdrawals. We will never bother a user for using a privacy-based wallet with our Exchange or Swap Tool.

We think privacy is something that is becoming more scarce by the day and we think taking the proper steps to protect your privacy is important.

Please use FreeBitcoins.com knowing we will never penalize your account or freeze your transaction because you wish to use a wallet like Wasabi Wallet.

Happy Trading!

Someone just bought the entire ask of Wownero on FreeBitcoins.com

The highest listing was 0.01 BTC and 1 WOW was sold at that price.

The buyer then had the remaining BTC of their market order returned to their account...

C-r-a-z-y

Needless to say,  we need more Wownero to sell!

https://freebitcoins.com/xchange/market/Bitcoin-Wownero

I've put some Wownero for sale for 1 WOW = 10 BTC.... fingers crossed! Tongue
