Most of the seller uses this sentences " there is a huge inflation everything goes higher and higher". But most of them bought that product with yesterday's price and they want to sell it with tomorrow's price. Therefore we need to make bargain with the sellers.
I also think it is important to buy second hand when possible to save yourself from being overcharged when buying something new, and while not everything can be bought second hand there are many things which can, also whenever there is an economic crisis that is the moment when a lot of people begin to sell stuff they bought on impulse and they do not really need, and if you were smart and saved your money you can buy a lot of the stuff you want for a fraction of the cost.

Now it's time to ask prices to go Lower.
Times like this i go shop or anywhere i always say' it's economic down turn can i get cheaper price.
I allready called to my landlord to make my rent much cheaper.
It's times of economic bad times so now you can ask cheaper prices of anything always.

Not every place is willing to give us a cheaper rate, since maybe they want to keep the quality so they can't give you a cheaper price than what you ask. They are affected by inflation too so no wonder if they increase the price and hard to give people a cheaper rate since they want to make living too.
If it has quality and is also very prompt, then I think I would say that asking for a cheaper price is not a good thing to do, but if you are really eager to ask, then try it but always respect the answer. Today's inflation is really hitting us hard. Costs are too high and all of us are short on money, but asking for a bargain is not wrong, but select those people to ask since all of us are in need of money.

...becouse all business owners have collected a lot wealth anyways now it's time for them to be more generous.

The profit they get is a constant effort, they research and invest in trying to create products that meet our needs, so they deserve those profits. If you are a business, you will do the same, you cannot work or sell without demanding a profit. We can get our money back from them other ways than haggling or begging them to give us a discount which is a shame, IMO. If you want to get your money back, what you spent on them, create a business, make a product good enough to sell them back.

Usually it happens to traders or retailers of goods in a certain size or not in a large size so that it is very difficult for them to reduce the price of goods because when they buy elsewhere or the supplier of goods the price is also not cut and it can even be higher when the condition of the goods suffers. increase in market demand.

This is a very natural thing to happen when they cannot provide cheap tariffs on the goods they sell to users, because besides they are also looking for profit, they are also pressured by economic conditions and the competitiveness of fellow traders in selling their wares. So I think there is no need to ask for a discount on the price of goods as long as someone is still able to buy them to make ends meet, because it is true as you say that those who sell are also looking for food.

The only can only ask for bargain prices on farmers or to small stores in market and other than that especially on establish stores you cannot ask any bargain since they have fix price on their products. Also can you afford to ask for more cheaper to those small businessman while the fact they are the one who's struggling since their income for day is enough for them to feed up their selves or to their family.

Yes, specially on a mall where you cant really make that bargain or asking for lower price.  Cheesy

For small stores and other merchants which can be seen neither on a sidewalk or other small establishments then you could potentially ask out for some discount or less prices
For me then it wont really be that necessary for you to ask some price decrease or discount unless if you do get some bulk buying or purchase which it would
be not bad to ask for some discount but buying single purchase or item then its better not to ask out at all.
We know about economical problems but it wont really be a reason for you to ask bargain.

I dont ask for cheaper price considering that those landlord or sellers or merchants do also experience the same.Do you really think that they do really like increasing prices? No they're not.

I disagree, if you found a greedy landlord and greedy vendor, they will happily increase the price if ever they find it possible.

It is really just normal for a business on at least having some profit and they would be normally basing up on the price on which they had able to buy and make out some little bump in price for profits.

25% for profit isn't small.  I don't think that there is any  vendor that will settle of less than 25% profit. So I do not think that they will just do a little bump on the price.

If you do look its reasonable or you are fully aware of goods price increase and services then i dont see for it to be that much needed for you to ask cheaper.
Im not saying its bad to ask for that one but it would really be that understandable if you were on their shoes.

I doubt retail stores will let anyone downgrade the price of their items.  You can only haggle on the marketplace but most of them had set an overpriced amount so they can have enough room for price negotiation.

For big time merchants, you can always ask them for lower prices, but never expect that they will grant your request all the time. Business is a business, regardless if the economy is growing or dropping. However, for small business owners, I think it’s never right to ask for a lower option of price, just be reasonable enough. For I know if you were in their shoes, you will never agree on asking for a cheaper price either.

Do not think that these small merchants are not affected with this down economy, of course they also share the same feelings with us. If we get affected, then they surely are too. So asking for a bargain price comes with a case to case basis. It’s not right to ask for a lower price when you know he’s only profiting a very small amount, that’s so selfish to think. Instead, understand that they also need to survive during this troubled time and need to sustain their business for a longer time.

It's normal to bargain but, what do you do when you go to shopping outlets where the prices of there commodities are fixed?
Do you still bargain there or you buy full price? Or you get to walk away as buying full price would be against your idea. Perhaps you would ask for a discount and get rejected then, you walk away.

The point is, a merchant won't sell a product at a lose, he or she must be on profit to be able to release that product on sale at a price. Which means, the merchant must be satisfied of what your offering. Your bargaining just ensures your not very much cheated or given a good deal at a bad price.

No, I'm not asking for a discount when I go to places like that. I'm buying at full price. It would be absurd to bargain anyway. It would be unethical to engage in such issues in corporate places. Bargaining is more often done in boutique shops. It doesn't matter what the food, drink, clothing product is. I bargain on every product I can get sold.
Bargaining on items won't always work especially if you do it on the mall where the item is fixed price but if you do it on a boutique shops it might work since you are actually asking for a discount with the owner of the shop. That's the difference of buying and bargaining things or food and even the gas you can't ask for a discount. It might depend on what store you are in but the point is if there's the owner it's possible to bargain and ask for discount with them but not on a place where it's a fixed price plus the owner isn't present or the one selling it to you.

I do live in a nation when haggling is part of the culture for sure, but not rent. I mean like when you are buying a big thing, let’s say a rug, or like a sheep or something, I don't know what would be ok if you haggled, because there are "rural" areas here as well, imagine the hillbilly corn farmer of your nation instead of New York. In those places people do haggle and even there it’s not rent.

However, the more west you go, there are more "cities" here and here you can't haggle for anything, not even a bottle of water, everything has a price and you pay that and you move on. Instead of trying to lower the cost of what I buy, I increase my income and that gives better results.

Bargaining in buying and selling is not a bad thing, it is normal but it will depend on the item you buy as well as where you buy it. We can't bargain while shopping in the supermarket or drinking a cup of coffee. In OP's case, I don't think it's appropriate since we're all going through the same crisis. If our situation is too difficult, we can ask the landlord to consider extending us to next month for a reasonable payment rather than asking them to reduce the price.

I saw a comment from OP, that he even bargained for 1 coffee, this is unacceptable, if I were the shop owner, I would kick him out of my shop. When inflation comes, spend only what is really needed and try to do more to make more money than bargain.

No me and my friends Smiley together we was like 7 people and there was some Young girl and after us was many other people so she did not have ways to argue with us.we told her you Are new here she was that we spoken with cofee Manager we should get cheaper about economic Crisis she had not many ways to argue with us we got what we asked Smiley

The point is it's not My fall that banks stop money printers and inflation Are too high....
We all Are in this i dont have struggle becouse of Banks did all this If i struggle i Will make sure everybody will have hard times i will make them sell cheap i will tell then everyday about economic chaos and how they should bargain becouse im person and they are business when hard times business can take hit becouse all business owners have collected a lot wealth anyways now it's time for them to be more generous.

Also cheistmas Are coming and i want to see Even more generous business offers 80% price drops plz

We are in a period of increasing recession expectations. In such periods, demand decreases in the markets and real buyers become stronger.

People will tell you that whatever decreases in demand during recession will not be food stuffs because people must eat whether the situation is fine or not. We get to find people on the streets begging for food, and nothing else. It is reasonable because everyone want to stay alive and if they do not have money for food, begging becomes an option for them. No one begs you on the streets for money to buy gadgets or cars but food. Food demand does not decrease.

We are in a period of increasing recession expectations. In such periods, demand decreases in the markets and real buyers become stronger. The strong get what they want in every market. I think if we enter a real recession, we can get a good opportunity to buy goods and we should not hesitate to bargain in such a period. Also, I think bargaining is a culture that should continue even in periods when there is no risk of recession...

Or the place he is renting is horrible and he is the only one who agrees to live there. That is why landlord gives him that discount. It will always be like that, that people wont be able to afford to buy their own place to live. There will be always those who rent. If I was his landlord, I would not give him that discount, but find another person who will rent it for full price. It is ok to ask for a better price once, maybe few times. But we are not on the market, and asking bargain every time and everywhere, I think is wrong or inacceptable.
We cannot be selfish by imposing our desire to reduce prices in this case because those affected by current Inflation are not only us but everyone and of course even if we really want this to force others to reduce prices clearly cannot be imitated.
Actually, this is not wrong but we must also be aware that things like this are actually a bit of a waste of time and of course make other people a little less respect for ourselves. But this is just my opinion because this kind of action in my opinion is a bit annoying if I am in a bargained position Cheesy

Is that true? They are running a business and if they are receiving the supplies at an expensive price then you won't getting cheaper at all even if you ask.
I just bought something recently and it's my common necessity, so I know the price. It did increase but I never ask for a bargain because I know about the economic decline.
You should also consider that you might be cutting off the profits of those who are trying to survive from all this problem. If you have the money, then just buy it with the given price especially if it's locally produced.

You really have a point. Most of the time, we bargain with those small store owners and don't think they are only earning a low profit. Most of the time, when we go to big stores, we still even give tips. But for the recession right now, let's just help each other as we need food and more money to survive. Those locally produced foods and items are less expensive than those in the mall, so we should buy from them; we will benefit, and they will also benefit from it.

I allready called to my landlord to make my rent much cheaper.
I have two questions:
1) What country do you live in? (I don't expect an answer, but I feel the need to ask)
2) Did your landlord tell you to go fuck yourself?

The reason I inquired about where you live is because in certain countries--far, far away from where I live--haggling is part of the culture.  If anyone in the US just asked their landlord to lower their rent because they were trying to get a cheaper rate, it'd pretty much be impossible.  Renters usually sign a lease when they rent, and any negotiations have to be done before it's signed, not when the renter suddenly feels like they're being overcharged.

But hey, as they say, you do you.  When you live in a country where most things are purchased at big box retailers or online, it's not feasible to do anything but pinch pennies through budgeting and buying smart.

I disagree with the word anything because you can't, yes some places you can negotiate and reduce the price but most of the basic needs like groceries, veggies, meat are fixed price everywhere even if its a roadside shop the price is fixed.
Yes , and these fixed prices has something to do eith utilities, rent of the building where market is placed, electricity they are using to make customers comfortable, while they are busy bargaining. Things has state of appropriateness do let us all be mindful.

If you guys are not that needy, just buy that thing in particular as it is. Let those who are in need to bargain for it.

I am not that rich enough to consider that I don't really see the price tag while I am buying something and I do even if I am having million dollar liquid cash in my bank account.

Let's imagine where we can bargain the local market for the sake while buying something like vegetables or fruits from a small scale farmer which is not really beneficial for us as well as the seller butnwe simply pay blindly for mac products whatever they set the price.
