Bitcoin investment will never be too late. The fact that it still performs its pump and dump, and sometimes price crash, then there's always big opportunity to enter into bitcoin investment. What makes you late is if you let yourself think that you can never make the perfect entry. What is perfect entry by the way? Just don't mind it, but invest in bitcoin if you know you are capable to manage the risk. If you think you can't, then don't bother trying at all. You will only lose in the long run.
Indeed, it is never too late to invest in bitcoin because basically, as long as the bitcoin price is still volatile, the pump and dump is still there, we always have the opportunity to make a profit for ourselves. But it's too late for those who intend to get rich with bitcoin with as little capital as the early investors did.

You've said it all, infact Bitcoin is still at the early stage compared to what it would look like in future therefore if someone start investing at the point it is, i believe that the person would still make profits in the near or far future, as an asset class the demand for it is getting high cause more people, firms, institutions and governments are now convinced concerning investing on it so those who start investing at this point still got lots to benefit.
However Bitcoin is not some coin that pumps and dumps totally like other shitty coins it pumps and dumps thereby giving people the opportunity to invest at a cheaper rate and them pump again, it's left for investors to seize the opportunity of buying more when it dumps to gain more when it pumps again.
