Gold is somewhat tangible whilst Bitcoin isn't, there are really a lot of similarities between Bitcoin and Gold and I've also done researches about which is worth investing!
But Gold can't be compared to Bitcoin , because of it's flexibility and need to be carried from place to place.
Bitcoin is only but a digital asset though so that's why questions about it's durability arises.
This thread is not about gold but bitcoin. Bitcoin was only used to compare gold because gold price keeps on increasing. That bitcoin also will be like that. As some people are saying the price is too high, that they can no more buy bitcoin, the price will later get higher in such a way some people will complain that the price is high, but the price getting higher further in long term. No need of bitcoin versus gold in such thread like this.

It is not too late. Even gold that has been existing for centuries, it is not too late to know about investing in gold. Not to talk of bitcoin that is not yet up to 2 decades ago.

Juts learn about bitcoin. Learn how to avoid those scammers and hackers. It is a speculative asset and make sure you do research about the price of bitcoin history.

It is never too late because bitcoin is a store of value and a hedge against inflation. Its price will continue to increase after a long period of time.

Are you unto 50 years old or you are above 60 years old? If you are not close to this age,  is not too late for you to learn BTC because you can still pay attention to some of the things that will make you to understand BTC and have the knowledge of BTC investment. There are some people who just no about BTC at the age of 70 years and they are showing interest on this Bitcointalk.irg to know the basics of BTC and how it function to allow  bitcoiners to earn profits in their various areas.

Does age really matters as long as the person is sane enough to research and comprehend? I don’t personally think so. There are aged investors who not only save into bitcoin for their own self but to simply safeguard the future of their younger ones, most aged and retired people now invest into bitcoin as retirement savings due to its advantage of been a good store of value.

You can see that the price of BTC is too high now, and if truly you want to invest in BTC, I will advise you to wait for the bear market to come before you can buy and hodl for some years before you can think of selling your BTC.

I wouldn’t totally disagree with you because the best time to invest in bitcoin as always been buying low or the dip which we know is during the bearish period. But one thing is clear waiting is a fools game in bitcoin because there is never a guarantee of what the price will be. Today’s price could be the lowest price one could see bitcoin in years to come because you don’t know what will be the top before the fall. Imagine bitcoin hitting $300k this bull run then buying at $100k is already a bargain prices as such my advice to OP is start DCA or buying whenever you have money and stick to a long term investment strategy to maximize profits

Good day to everyone on this Bitcoin platform.
I've only come to know about Bitcoin now, and from the things I have heard about Bitcoin I was thinking of trying to invest but on a second thought a part of me seems I have come to know about this too late.
I really do not mind purchasing a little fraction of it and holding for a long time but like I said I still feel like am here too late and that Bitcoin has reached a level where only those who are well to do enough can indulge in it's trade.

Is my being aware of Bitcoin now too late or do I still have a chance?

As long as you are investing in bitcoin for the long term, you still do have a chance.
Bitcoin has a lot of potentials to still grow even further far from what we have seen and still may see in days, weeks and months to come, like some people are speculating, if really the government of all nations in this world will embrace bitcoin same way gold was embraced, we could one day, wake up to $1m for 1BTC.

But the above is not something dwell on right now since it's pure speculation, I feel it's better to invest for the love you have for bitcoin, than invest for profit only, because in the end, only love conquers everything.

For me it is never too late to start on investing even if it is not in Bitcoin or crypto.
You just need to know what you are investing on, don't just jump in cause of the stories you heard or read, and learn to control your greed.
There are so many investors who ends up losing instead of gaining profit in crypto and thought that this is a scam cause they don't understand what they invested on or how it works.

OP, it's never too late to invest in Bitcoin, start investing from where you found out. Now Bitcoin was very cheap in 2012, but I was very young and didn't know what Bitcoin was. I came to know about Bitcoin in 2022 when the price was much higher than in 2012 but I started investing with DCA method. Now at present I am in good profit. But if I didn't invest when I saw the price was high, I wouldn't have been so profitable today. You have now learned about Bitcoin, so start investing with DCA method now, if you think the price will be higher now, it will be higher in the future. Bitcoin price will not stop here, Bitcoin price will increase a lot in future. If you can invest in Bitcoin and hold it for a long time then you can definitely succeed.

An asset that is thousands of years old and has a market capitalization of up to 18 trillion like gold is still considered a potential investment in the future. Meanwhile, bitcoin is only 16 years old and its market capitalization is only $2 trillion, which is tiny compared to gold, do you think it's too late to invest in bitcoin? OP?

Honestly I find it confusing that not many people complain about investing in gold but complain and say it's too late to invest in bitcoin. This makes me feel like people who think it's too late to get started with bitcoin are people who have no faith and don't trust bitcoin, for no other reason.

OP, no offense but I believe if you have knowledge and belief in bitcoin, I believe you will know that it is too late or too early to invest in bitcoin.

Read the first part, twice or thrice and that's what you have to consider. While buying at $100k levels could be high as of now, what do you think you have in your mind of the price target for the highest on this bull run? if it's more than $100k then buy.

But if not, then be more patient and wait until the bigger drops come.

Is my being aware of Bitcoin now too late or do I still have a chance?
You have a chance, you just need to have some confidence and convince yourself on how long you'll have to hold and at what price you want to sell. But are you going to sell once it moves up?

Not that late though just kidding 😅the only thing is that price right now is way too high compared to the past years but still there is no such thing as late in investment especially to a highly volatile Bitcoin. You can invest right now or just wait for a pullback and then jump-in. That is how it will be depending on your preferred strategy. If you are a buy and hodl guy then hell yeah buy now or you will miss the ride.

Know that our goal for bitcoin is to reach $500k or even $1m in the future, so currently it’s still on its $100k price, that only mean that you still have all the chances to buy and hold. And so the rest of the newbies here who have desires also to buy and hold bitcoin.

If you have extra funds, go with DCA. At least, even with it’s high price, you are now starting to accumulate bitcoin slowly but regularly. Soon you will also benefit from the massive profits of bitcoin, just know your investment well and apply risk management. Where there is risk, there is also rewards waiting ahead.

Is my being aware of Bitcoin now too late or do I still have a chance?

If you are thinking of investing in bitcoin and it can give you thousands of percent returns or make you rich from small capital. I can say those days are over and it's too late to do that. But if your goal is just to make significant profits then as everyone said above, it is never too late to invest in bitcoin.

We are no longer in the early stages of the bitcoin revolution but it is not too late to start now because for an asset that is only 15 years old, and compared to assets that are thousands of years old like gold or silver, it is still too early. Or compared to the traditional financial market, it can be said that there are still many opportunities for us to take advantage of and opportunities will always exist as long as the market exists.

I am not going to lie to you. You are late. Or at least in comparison with others who were able to purchase bitcoin at a price lower than $1000 USD. Every passing hour, bitcoin may be rising more and more and for every passing hour that you have not invested in bitcoin the more you are being "late" to bitcoin.

Yes you are late but hope is not all gone. If you think you are going to be making the same profit as those who had bought bitcoin at less than $1000 USD with the same amount of money then your expectations will be ruined soon. However, you can definitely still make profit with bitcoin. It is quite unfortunate that you found bitcoin when it is already at $100k but you still have a lot of options. You can wait for the bearish season or you can wait for a dip even so miniscule just so you can take profit at the end of this year. It depends on what your preferences are and goals with bitcoin.

It is not too late but with Bitcoin pretty much being at its all time high at $101k and expected to go higher through most of 2025, I would not go too  heavy into it this year.

Wait until 2026/2027 to really invest as that will be the next bear market, price could be back down to $50-60k then.

There is no time that's considered to be too late; obey that part of you that said you should buy a little fraction of bitcoin. That's good advice: buy what you can afford for the main time and store it for the future. If you don't buy now, you will still consider today as being an opportunity that you could have used to join when the price is still low.

Then you can sacrifice a little of your time to learn a bit about what you are investing in, know what it is, how to store it, and how to make use of it; it doesn't cost much to get the basic knowledge, only your willingness to learn.

In the future, people would pray to get even a portion of sats for the price they would see in the decade to come, so I totally agree - we need to make the most of what we have currently now.

Bitcoin has reached a level where only those who are well to do enough can indulge in it's trade.

That's not true, and you probably don't know how it works. Just because Bitcoin is priced at $101k (by the time of writing this post), it doesn't mean you need to have $101k to be able to trade it or buy it. Bitcoin has eight decimal points, which means that you can even buy a small portion of it. This is the beauty of Bitcoin: you can start investing in Bitcoin for as low as $10 or maybe even less if a platform allows it.

Since you are new in this space, you should know that the market usually moves in a cyclical pattern. There are bull runs and bear runs. During bear runs, the market goes down, which is generally the best time for buying, and in contrast, the market goes up during bull runs, and that is when people sell the cryptocurrencies they have bought during the bear run.

Buying low and selling high is the basic principal and strategy, but you should try and get as much knowledge as possible before you make your first investment.

Buddy first and foremost you're welcome to Bitcointalk forum, am very happy that atleast you've developed interest of investing in Bitcoin and I believe you've an idea of how the investment works, the aspect of you coming late, i dont think you're late unless you got the information before this time and ignored it but even as that i believe once one is financially and mentally ready with the basic knowledge of investing in the said asset then such person is good to go, mate you're not late at all, you've a chance, there is no harm in trying with any amount you want to start with but consistency is the key to achieving whatever goal you want to set now as you begin this journey, though the price of Bitcoin is high which may still go higher as the clock keeps ticking so would you rather sit and watch as it keep up resurging without buying those fractions you have in mind, I think for me the answer should be no, buddy dont procrastinate if you're actually ready for this because time waits for nobody though it's your decision but as for coming late, I don't think you are but if you don't do this now then you will feel that you're late later so be wise in whatever decision you want to make now so that it won't affect you in the future.

It's hard to say that you are late. For sure, the biggest opportunity was before 2020 but I'd say that it's not late even today because I think that Bitcoin is a revolution in financial system. We had barter, then coins, then paper money, then fiat and now cryptos, this is truly one of the biggest financial revolution during our existence. So, Bitcoin is only 16 years old and humans have been existing for such a long time. So, no, it's not late to invest in Bitcoin. I also think that if governments really save their strategic reserves in Bitcoin, that means that it's not late, it's only beginning.
