I think you must check the coinmarketcap if the token you have is listed on coinmarketcap you can see all exchange site where you can exchange your token but not all exchange site is supported.

Mostly the other exchange sites are not well known so becareful when selling your token to not well known exchange site.

You can use the list that recommended below if your token is listed then you are lucky.

Even this question being answered by many in this forum, i prefer you start trading with Binance Exchange first. Since it is most favorite by many. But there are some other exchanges  without the limit of selling & buying, fast new coin listings exchanges like Kucoin. Mostly you need to understand that if you are planing to trade regularly, you must be familiar from basic on how to buy a token, sell a token, to use stop loss, security measures, KYC process, Government rules of your country on using crypto exchanges etc. Also open accounts on most famous exchanges & make sure to use Coinmarketcapp website to visit exchanges as many phishing sites are there.

Mostly top 10 or 15 coins are best to buy & hold for long term. Also there are some other projects like WAN, ICX, WABI, DRGN, NEO, are some of best ALTS to hold for long term.

What exchange is the best to trade on?
Please if you have any long term token to buy, thanks.
If you continue to ask like this way you will end up being scammed.
Make a deep-search for all the platforms that work in your country, divide these exchanges based on your investment plan and ask about others opinions.
Avoid the unsupported exchanges of your country, unknown one, and slowly support.
about tokens, avoid buying it until you realize all the risks of token acquisition.

The "best" exchange to trade on is subjective. What might be the best for me might not be the best for the next guy and vice versa.

What I would suggest that you do is to take a look at some of the top exchanges, take a look at their user interface and their fees, then decide for yourself.

Here are some:
