This is good news to the whole crypto community because Amazon is a very big online marketing platform and so if such a huge platform is announcing its acceptance of bitcoin as a mode of payment for transactions then at least it would also increase the popularity and encourage more platforms to also accept bitcoin as a payment method.

I dont think on short term Amazon will accept bitcoin, as soon as it is recognized and is accepted widely there is a very good chance Amazon will eventually accept payments with bitcoin,Thus it is very unlikely that we will see that happening in the near future. I think it will be years until we see that happen, there is too much unknowns now.

Amazon is very strong and if it starts accepting bitcoin then for sure bitcoin's price will go up since it will become more popular. But until now there is no official information from Amazon confirming that they support Bitcoin as a form of payment. But in the future, if this happens, it will be a big revolution to change the way of cash popular on Amazon.
If this happens, price will jump by at least 40-50% in a day. I hope it comes true but they may just come up with their own coin.

This means there is nothing to wait for it now. Amazon is just not going to accept BTC. This is great news for the crypto community because day in and day out we keep hearing of big organizations and platforms planning to start accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment. Last i heard was of Ebay planning to accept bitcoin on its trading platform. Gradually i think we are moving into the acceptance of bitcoin as mode of payment.

That's a Really good news. Because people do face some problem with paypal cost payment system. if it happened, it will be big move for Amazon.
There's too many fud or fake news circulating in the current time and many of it can make affect how the bitcoins price and market will move. However, I have the news, they can create a separate crypto. This can be confirmed in the near future.
Perhaps a better way to word this would be "Thread for Speculation about Amazon Possibly Accepting Bitcoin" or something to that effect. But I don't know if this is possible, but this thread title should be reworded, as it stands this sounds like that if we generate "Bitcoin Speculation", it will be accepted by Amazon, as if Amazon actually wants us to speculate about bitcoin so that the company can then accept this speculation for some reason.
Why would Amazon accept Bitcoin when they could develop their own crypto currency or token on which they will have control and can develop as per their needs. They have the required resources and developers for that. Also Bitcoin isn't ready yet to handle the number of transactions Amazon has.
