With gaming I find AMD give you the best colour. While nVidia gets the best details
for mining purpose AMD is still better then Nvidia

Yes, AMDs are still better than nVidia cards. I'm not completely sure why, but I think it has something in part to do with the amount of shader cores each card has? But like others say, GPU mining is almost completely dead. Some alt coins that are meant for GPUs/CPUs are out there, but again, as others have said, altcoins are not incredibly reliable. If you're strategic enough, though, there is money to be made with altcoins.
My curiosity 
Until some time ago mining with cards AMD compared to NVIDIA was very convenient especially in speed. But now, in February 2015, with the graphic evolution, amd is still the best and most affordable or not, compared to NVIDIA?
