I agree to it very much. In India too there are clowns fighting over nonsense. I guess the only difference is in US, people have their lives set in most ways, so it doesn't matter if the political leader is joking about something or just spend the entire term by joking. While here too, the politicians live a lavish life with no-action-just-circus style, but they do at the expense of growing unemployment and no standard of living for common people.

India is a common law country. They received this from years of British occupation. Common law simply means the law of the locality. It is applied by jury trials (12 local jury people are the judges), or judges (magistrates) forced to obey the exact, written law in their judgments. Locally, the jury can repeal any laws the government makes.

The problem with India - like Britain and the USA - is that people don't realize how much power they have over their government. In the USA and Britain, people are waking up. This is why we have the big Trump-Pelosi show. It's designed to take the focus of the people off the legal/lawful way to do things (the jury), and focus on anger or hate... so the people fight a civil war. Divide and conquer.

If the people wake up to their strength fast enough, they will unite locally, and cast off the restraints of stupid government people and their stupid laws.

angolosaxon elections including massively important ones are since decades 50+-1% elections its time they stop taking the rest of the world hostage with those elections

I'm not sure what you are trying to say, are you against elections?

For the record, US presidential elections aren't always +- 1% either way.

Our last 3:

2008:
Obama 70 million votes, 365 Electoral Votes
McCaine 60 million votes, 173 Electoral Votes

2012
Obama 67 million, 332 Electoral
Romney, 61 million, 206 Electoral

2016
Trump 63 Million, 304 Electoral
Clinton 66 Million, 227 Electoral

I'm pretty sure it's the same in most of the world. You have two political side fighting, and many in the population chooses a side and then fight like children.

In democracies, yeah.  If you live in a country like that, don't take it for granted, even if it is annoying and messy, it's better than living in an authoritarian country...unless you're the one in charge I guess.

I will gladly swap the circus of Trump and Pelosi for what is happening in my very own country. Where we tend to change the voters register once every decade and spend lots of money doing it whiles some communities do not have access to good drinking water and no matter how the masses protests no one seems to care.

I wonder how often you think about those who don't have water or food today? What can you do for this? I understand that there is little you can do for or against trump's policies. But can't you try to take one step for the people you're talking about?

Yes, I also heard that Americans are lucky they have Trump and Pelosi but this is not only in the United States but also in other countries Each country operates according to its own rules. The circus is as focused on the Philippines as its survival is America Pelosi As a country of the international world it makes us stronger.

I think Americans are lucky, so much of their social media is consumed by the clown show between Trump and Pelosi, for years now. I think it is wonderful that a country is so well off that it can afford to focus so much time on fluffy reality show. While circus goes on, everyone still lives their lives because circus does not really effect them. In Philippines we have our own small circus but we are more focused on every day survival.

Good Luck and God Bless,

We may be lucky but everyone here is really, really sick of this particular bit of luck.

Everyone here admires other life. World see USA life style as an ideal form of living while USA people have there own worries this is how life moves on this planet. Trump may not be a suitable candidate but USA institutions are strong enough to work normally no matter who is president.

Try Venezuela. Philippines haven't seen anything like it since the 70ies, last time you had your coin pegged. At least we share the same kind of tropical weather, except without the typhoons. We are doing so bad now, i know some people even went there, to Philippines, to earn a living. There are people from here going everywhere in this world, but indeed even there you can live better nowadays.

So thank God instead, you don't have to deal with Maduro and Maduro, and your wage isn't equivalent to 2 USD a month.

In the meantime the "first" world has actual things to worry about, such as the latest smartphone model. We cannot be worrying them with menial things like human rights, such things are overrated anyway.

Yes I know people in Philippines who came fro South and Central America. I was born much after the 70s, but I heard stories from my parents and my lola. I am definitely not saying that we have it bad, but compared to average American our priorities are different. I am not jealous, I just think its strange that something this meaningless can go on for so many years.

Good Luck and God Bless

The Trump and Pelosi show is simply a distraction to keep people from realizing the strength they have in the local jury. The jury can decide both fact and law. It's in Blackstone's Commentaries and other places, as well.

This means that anybody can file a court claim against a particular law, that it doesn't apply to him. The jury can agree with him, and revoke the particular law in his case.

If enough people get the law revoked this way, the law will be repealed in government.

Trump and Pelosi is a smoke-and-mirrors, dog-and-pony-show designed to keep people from realizing this... so government can keep them is slavery.

You see every country has its own show that is currently going on in the political space while the real managers of the economy are not bothered with such which is the reason why it seems that everybody is just going about their businesses and they get to talk about what has been raging on all media platforms in the country when they get to relax, drink or have any form of get together. In the United States, what is happening is actually good for democracy from my point of view because it shows that a arm of government can be independent of the other and instances like this also shows that its can happen unlike several other countries where the executive would flagrantly go against the law and even boast about it and nothing will happen because they have the legislature in their pocket. So, let everyone enjoy the show while it lasts.

I think we can all agree that we all have our own problems in our countries, and trying to fight about 'who has it worse' is as subjective as subjective gets. No reason to do that at all. We can all just agree, quickly, that all politicians are crooks and aren't looking for the betterment of their people -- just the betterment of themselves. If the two of those line up, then great, if not then tough luck for the voters.

Every country has two "clowns" and their own "circus".
It is just that America is international and the most powerful country in the world so the media covers all the news that happen there as it might affect people all around the world.

+1 to that.

The only reason you hear about it in the US is that we're the most powerful country in the world and typically the policy that happens / changes here is going to effect the world in some sort of way.

It actually kinda sucks for anyone international here just because their politicians get to hide behind the news in the US -- so they don't get as much scrutiny as they used to have.

Actually, the real America is the people. Most of the people aren't international. It is the U.S. Government that acts internationally. The government is a corporation that acts as a trust in some ways. It isn't the people.

The reason why government people are trying to make a one-world government is to support themselves better. But if they obey the terms of the U.S. State, they will enhance the American people more.

The only reason for the U.S. Government is to enhance the American people. The Preamble to the Constitution:
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

I think of it like this. In the US, we have enough to the point that we're able to focus on the bullshit. We're able to spend time sitting around and watching reality TV shows, or cartoons, or whatever and still able to survive. That's not something that is present in other countries. But I digress to something else for a moment.

In the US we obviously have political problems like any other country though. We focus so much on the Federal elections (President, Senate, Representatives, cabinet picks, supreme court) but we ignore the local politicans that run our everyday life (think of the local judges, attorney, building departments, county executives, etc) These are the people who decide our lives, they decide what you're allowed to build in your own property -- if you can built it, what types of forms you have to fill out.

They charge you the bulk of your taxes (Setting the Sales Tax, Property and School Taxes), they also provide you the bulk of the services you interact with daily (Roads and Road maintenance, Local Police and Fire, Education, etc)

I'm actually going to be making a thread about this ignorance in the US.
