The two founders fought over money. Greg Meredith who was the CTO wanted more money to develop Rchain and Special K which he declared will be more advanced than blockchains. The CEO Dor Konforty did not want to give Greg more money because he felt the whole project is being scammed by their own CTO. Dor was given an impression by Greg that he already had a working solution in his Rchain technology but it was really nothing but vapor.

They also had an ICO that collected more money from the community maybe 1 or 2 weeks before the project's breakdown.

ouch. Thank you.

@profitgenerator212. For the sake of the investors who bought in at the ICO price of 30,000 satoshis I do hope Dor does turn it all around. Those people who trusted the technology behind project and risked giving the value of their bitcoin investment deserve better from the Synereo team.

Don't worry AMP will be rescued, they have put a lot of time and effort into this. They will not let it fail.

There is a lot of demand for decentralized social media now, and I mean a lot (potential billions of $)

It is clear that centralized social media is full of censorship and manipulation, we need a better platform for online communication.

Synereo will take advantage of this, I believe they are 100% capable of this. The Synereo leadership is made of smart people with a lot of experience.

Some development here, some there, some venture capital deals, and the thing will be rolling again. It's only a question of time until AMP will hit the sky!

What technology are they planning to build the platform on? After exposing Rchain as a lemon the Synereo team does not have the core technology they need to build what they want. Will there be a delay on the release of the platform? How long? The development team has been very quiet.

How does the model work?

It doesnt, I am looking for a better model. The AMP market is still too young to have any persistent pattern yet, so it's very hard to find an accurate model for it.

The two founders fought over money. Greg Meredith who was the CTO wanted more money to develop Rchain and Special K which he declared will be more advanced than blockchains. The CEO Dor Konforty did not want to give Greg more money because he felt the whole project is being scammed by their own CTO. Dor will rescue Synereo.

They have to start from the scratch after all these problems, so give them a little space to breathe.

They have a lot of work ahead of them, but I believe they will succeed in the end.

I am with you that there will be a need of a decentralized social media network. There are politicians who are already proposing that Facebook should be classified as a media company and not a platform. This will make the government gain more right to censor and to suppress information.

Yet I think Synereo will not be a big player for decentralized social media. The technology behind it does not work and there is already infighting between 2 important people in their founding team because the CEO feels Greg Meredith is scamming them by saying Rchain and Special K will work. That is a formula to failure.

Totally agree with bbc.reporter. If we are going to have decentralised social media platform, it won't be Synereo. I don't see them playing any big role in the market because any house that divide against its self shall not stand

Someone dumped 3BTC worth of coins (91K) for 4051. WOW!

When one deflates another would inflate, wonder which coin's being focus pumped now.

Can anyone link me to a brief overview of what caused the mega price drop and what the situation is now?

I have overlayed the forecasted values with the actual values that have since then have been revealed, it's astonishing how accurate I am:

Interesting, althought I have to remind people that the more in the future we go, the less accurate it becomes (standard error for each new datapoint forecasted is bigger), so we need to update the model with new price feed as frequently as possible.

This model was created more than 24 hours ago, so I will probably have to update it with new data from today, but I am not at home at the moment so I can't do it now.

Maybe in a few hours, until then keep AMP-ing Smiley

How does the model work?

Only way for AMP to go up, is Dor releasing some piece of real existing and functioning technology as a proof that there are moving forward.

The price is not looking good now, maybe AMP fades away from the market. Wish AMP a good luck and better future, the price is 4k sat, it is much lower than 2nd ICO.

@donnatello. I know. I am just stating the facts. What kind of development is going on in Synereo right now? Rchains which was hyped to be better than blockchains is now known not to work or worse, it is vaporware. Greg might have made it appear that he was sure he will make it work. 1 or 2 years later they hav nothing. I ask, where is the technology that made the community confident to invest in the AMP ICO?

? You're a few months behind on the news. Greg is gone and development is going on.

@profitgenerator212. You keep saying that but nothing is happening. When we check the Synereo announcement thread all we see are people trolling back and forth. The representative from their team also has left and is nowhere to be seen in the the forum. Their website is blank except for the fake social media platform that looks like a bare bones MVP.

I dont have crystal ball, I can just extrapolate from what information I have.

But my theory is that decentralized social media will be worth a lot in the future. I believe Synereo will pull itself together and be one of the big players in the future.

There is no way not to be, it's just so easy to pull it off, ETH was created in a very short time, and already worth around 1 bn $.

Synereo could be the next big one.

I am with you that there will be a need of a decentralized social media network. There are politicians who are already proposing that Facebook should be classified as a media company and not a platform. This will make the government gain more right to censor and to suppress information.

Still holding on my last 1 position. Hoping it breaches 5300. So far, AMP has been stellar in speculation and profit making.

Placed buy orders at 4550, 4500 and 4450. Slightly pessimistic that it will drop to these levels. so will adjust once I see the M or W being formed.

I have invested my next big investment in ETC @ 0.00119 With a target of 0.00126.

PS : Look out for LBRY as well. Buy Order @ 1800

At this moment all we can do is wait and hope some day we will be able to recope our losses.

I did buy quite some 'cheap' coins to bring my break even price down, but with the high investment it still needs a wonder to have profit.

That is why we need to get AMP to Yobit so that it will have a bigger trading volume.

But so far I haven't seen any response to that.
