I think him and smoothie just need to fuck and get it over with.  That is going to be some passionate angry sex.

Damn, I was busting up on this.
No offense to anyone, I really dont care about the topic or dislike anyone. But this was comedy.

CoinHunter,

I'll be to the first to admit when I heard of SolidCoin with the 3m blocks, I was intrigued.  When the price hit .03 BTC within days and held around .01, that was impressive.  You certainly didn't have any problem flaunting and flexing at all the naysayers.  Perhaps even with good reason.

But as of yesterday, your credibility has gone down drastically.  You may think "Doesn't matter, bitcointalk is full of trolls" and that may be true.  But most new people are going to be introduced to SolidCoin by what they read here.... and as of now it isn't pretty.

So why don't you do everyone a favor:  We can consolidate all the SC drama into one thread and finally get it over with, and you get to save face with those just being introduce to cryptocurrencies.  I'd say the more humble you are, the better.  Most complaints have been about you and not your 'product' (that's how you treat it), but your project is hemmoraging credibility on one of the (i imagine) primary ways people are introduced to your project. Come lay out your decisions with Solidcoin, why they're good for the project, and get it out in the open.

dude you would get a better response if you made the suggestion to your car..

Note: To anyone interested in SC who happens upon this thread, this is what SC 'project' is.  There is no civil and open discussion, the sole developer will laugh at you if you ask whats going on.  He doesn't understand how to code which griefed thousands of people who mistakenly put their faith in SC.  He has offered to apology nor displayed any humility. When he breaks his chain, he will mine 1000 blocks to himself before he releases the fix. Any 'project' lead by someone possessing these traits is not only doomed to fail, but will fail with vigor.

Very astute and concise explanation of just what the rest of us have been griping about. Likewise with the conclusion -- the only future SC can possibly have at this point is being repeatedly raped and plundered by Bitcoin miners who have realized that sometimes the difficulty/price curve means they can mine SC, and immediately sell those for BTC, and make more BTC/day with the same hardware. And that's not a currency, that's bitcoin enthusiasts profiting off of anyone wanting to buy SC hoping they'll rise...

Which they won't if 99% of the currency is just being sold immediately after being mining, and no businesses take SC (except some amateur porn site was at one point) ...

I have to admit that I had fun writing "praise" Cheesy I don't know why you see hate everywhere. Calling some crappy software crap is not hate, it is stating facts. I know from your podcasts that you are not an "early adopter" to call something a scam, see mybitcoin. Anyway, why are there no new episodes?
I see the hate based on the means people are choosing to expose the flaws in the program and/or the person behind the program.    If it was only about the program, I'd say different, but mostly it stems from how he is handling the issues with his program.

Meh, I am a mid adopter.  I was part of the Goxing, my email and info was out there to the world.  But yeah, MyBitcoin I actually just never trusted from the beginning (in a oddly, I made this thread eventually regarding them https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/i-dont-trust-mybitcoin-or-the-uabb-but-how-come-so-many-trust-it-29055 before the big let down, I am a predictor!!).

Thanks for listening btw! Cheesy   I had to put a pause on things because "IRL" gets in the way.  I had an interview lined up with the BitPit pool operator (who also had a JavaScript Bitcoin miner), but I just haven't had time to do anything on top of being out of the loop of BTC news myself.  I might pop out a 15 minute ep or something soon, I actually have subscribers to the show and it scares me :x

+1 Yeah he did not even acknowledge the huge price drop. He keeps saying that he would like the big pools to stay away because the difficulty is dropping so the true supporters can mine SC.

So Solidcoins is ixcoins after all, it's just that CoinHunter will be mining by himself at difficulty 1 after everyone else is sick of it, instead of mining by himself at difficulty 1 before releasing it? Smiley

yet still "praise" solidcoin.

You are being a silly extremist now, feel free to hit 'ignore user' on me if you are pulling some Fox news style shit out of my posts... "praise" lol... oh God.  Half of what you get from whatever it is I am typing seems to be set with some kind of hatred bias toward any party.   CoinHunter, from what I see, is a dick, however his cock size is quite small compared to others.  In my opnion.  Whatever.  "Grow up" Smiley

I think it is beyond obvious that CoinHunter isn't going to budge and in fact has managed to become a bigger dick than yesterday with his current post on the SC site forum.

This idiot actually believes that Bitparking and Ruxum had no effect whatsoever on Solidcoin and that Moonco.in's tenfold increase in volume was due to people adopting SC rather than dumping it at the only place left to do so LOL...

There's been lots of hate going around on both sides.  If people could put their emotions aside for a bit there might more constructive conversations that would help both currencies more.  Chanting "BTC sux" and "SC is dead" over and over doesn't seem to be helping.  SC's in trouble and BTC is down to 7.40, makes you wonder if it's connected to the negativity around here...

And you posted right after ArtForz, so you know about this vulnerability. I am starting to suspect you are somehow tied to solidcoin, as you are constantly defending it, apparently against your knowledge.
It is hard to read posts made with such hate behind them, seriously too.  ArtForz posts scream malicious intent, so pulling anything from his posts takes too much effort in wondering what his motivations behind the posts.
I don't think there is any hate involved. Solidcoin like Bitcoin is software, and software either works or not. So when bugs are found, one fixes them or just let the software die. You suggest that ArtForz telling coinhunter about a bug, means ArtForz is hating coinhunter? Grow up. ArtForz was just technical, explaining some bug/weakness, more or less emotionless. Businesses paying big money for people like ArtForz to find hidden bugs, so actually coinhunter should pay ArtFoz something, yet you still believe coinhunter is the poor victim? Go read http://www.incoherentphotography.com/uploads/2011.09.04-07.17.48.txt to see what kind of douchebag coinhunter/realsolid is. Actually I have to correct myself, there is a lot of hate involved on coinhunters side.

Anyways, am I constantly defending it though, really?     I have not given up on it, my knowledge thus far has seen it nearly being taken out of the hands of the creator for what seems to be decent enough reasons.    Either way, not everything is a conspiracy, grow up.   If you are doing proper stalking of my posts to make a weird accusation like that, you'll know I have less than 30 sc total, and it doesn't seem like that will be going up anytime soon with the outlook on the program.
That is what I am talking about. Any rational person would have already accepted that solidcoin was a junk product, yet still "praise" solidcoin. I know you wrote you have only 30 sc, so there is no rational reason why you should still stand firm behind solidcoin. I am not a friend of making conspiration theories out of thin air, so I asked you about your relation to coinhunter and his solidcoin fiasco.

I've always gotten the impression that CoinHunter was doing this to stroke his ego, not to get rich.

That is the way I am seeing it now.

It was weird, I never looked that deeply into ixcoin and could tell it had scam on it, but I am still not catching SolidCoin as a scam, just horribly horribly handled is all.

At first solidcoin looks if it was a combination of https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.506664 combined which changing fundamentals without understanding them.
On a second look, as ArtForz pointed out https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.501511 it has a builtin mechanism that enables a big miner to mine on 1/3 of the difficulty and prevent others from even mining anything.
So yep, it is a scam.
