I think there is a big difference between a correction and a fall. Corrections have been seen very often in the bitcoin ecosystem and in my opinion should not go beyond 20% of the value of the currency. But when one faces these adverse scenarios where an asset loses 50% of its value and the confidence of many new investors, we could possibly enter into a change of trend and enter a bear market in the near future, although all this does not it is more than speculation given the absolutely uncertain nature of this market.

There have been many corrections in Bitcoin larger than this.

In hindsight they were all buying opportunities.

If you're in it for the long term then there is nothing to worry about. It will simply drop for a few weeks then rise up again, but then it will rise up further than before. It's like going on holiday, and coming back - log into your portfolio and you will see no change.

I don't know but I think we could see it go even lower the coming weeks. Not that worried though.

Don't worry about the correction it's natural in trading and also in life wait for another opportunity that will come along with this correction and then invest again and earn good money from cryptomarket. Did you remember the correction a few months back that dragged the bitcoin from $5000 to almost $2800 which was because of Chinese ban and other issues and from the decline it just made almost 7 times more money on investment, now that's the real advantage of investment in cryptomarket.

Maybe developers anticipate a mass withdrawals in bitcoin due to holiday season that's why the value of bitcoin drop this bad lol...but seriously speaking I think many realize that this drop can really happen soon because of the continuous increase in bitcoin price in the last few months as its nature it needs to drop after the pump like a normal fluctuations and holding is something only those who believe can do. I'm sure many are now go into panic selling time

Absolutely predictable correction. Feel sorry for those, who didn't sell, but to be honest there was a lot of time to did this at the top price.

Every holder lost like atleast %30 of their money but this not an unexpected situation. If someone didn't saw this was coming after all these pumps and bubble prices he clearly doesn't have any idea about how crypto world works. Just like the last week when bitcoin hit almost 20k , this is also temporary and coins will turn back to normal. Panicing is the worst thing you can do now.

Correction is common and is healthy with the growth we have seen recently.Bitcoin will not reach 10000$ back but will stuck at 14000$ for few days, I think.

This is a small correction. I thought that everything would be much worse. And even prepared the money to buy bitcoin at $10k)) But probably bitcoin won't fall to that price level.
i wouldnt call 25% small though. 50% and more in 1-2 days would be a crash IMO.

after huge gains for a couple of days the profit takers always come...

also xmas is a pain in the ass
What has xmas to do with this? People withdrawing money to buy gifts?

People withdrawing not only to have a great xmas but in a fact to cashout they'r earnings from this enourmous flucatation of the price
Having said so, maybe Christmas is the reason for the enormous drop in  the price of cryptocurrencies. There's a great chance that people withdraw their money to buy gifts for the said season. But there is also a great chance that the price would go extremely and undoubtedly high again after the season because of people having their payouts and bonuses from their works.

Finally a topic that isn't hype but shows the other side of crypto. I took some profits and moved it to fiat the last couple of days, just to be sure in such a bull market. And of course to be ready when it dips even further.

I don't know, this isn't really that actually.
I have a feeling that things will crash even further.

There are still quite a number of coins that are pumping, mostly lower priced coins that noobs are buying into.
Last price correction devastated alt prices for a month and a half.
The various forks also sucked money out of alts into bitcoin.
I mean, monero was floating around 80 to 90 dollars for a long time.

Now, for all of those who bought up alts a month ago, they should be incredibly happy.
Since a lot of the coins are still at a good price and btc has gone down, the price per btc should be terriffic now.
It would be a great time to sell them for btc for a profit.

Then when the alts crash, buy them up again and the entire cycle continues!

I agree, it could pump even further than it is now.

Im not even worried. It seems there a big players trying to coordinate massive buy sell tactics to make money. Youll see bitcoin reach and surpass its ath of aprox 20k dollars. The right thing to do know is either hodl or buy more. I spread my btc into other coins.
