I don't think animated photo for ICO is a trend or can ever be a trend because most people will never love to invest in those kind of projects because the admin always turns out to be a scam.

Why will you be starting up a project in the crypto space and you are doing it in an anonymous way expecting that you are going to raise a lot of funds from investors, this is not going to work anymore because investors are very careful in choosing their investment.

Animated photos are not very good to follow, usually when they launch the initial project and photos of the project team in the form of animation, they will get red trust.

Hello friend ...
I want to ask you? why do they use animated photos? is it currently trending!
Do you think this is feasible to follow, while teams that use real photos sometimes end up in fraud.
give your opinion.
I don't know about projects using animated team profile photo. Can you link a project that is using it?

But normal pictures should be ok of a project team.  Smiley
I found this, maybe there are still many more that I haven't found.
isn't this including an anonymous team?
but why the project is still running, even many are following it.

in my view it includes an anonymous team and not the trend of the photo animation team as you mean, while I see the team also gets red trust. I think you should stay away from him, don't be easy to believe in projects whose team is not clear / not transparent. it will only waste your time.

It is not enough for us to call a SCAM alone. However, I think that a reputable project would not share such a picture. The image of the project is very important and it is not right. If I had a million dollars, I would not buy the tokens of a project that shared a profile photo.

I don't think it's an ico trend. but I am sure everything must have purpose and purpose. so it's better to avoid it if you don't want to regret it.

Did you ask them before? We don't know what their reason to do that is. Maybe it's another trend from every team or its just coincidence. I don't know if that is feasible to follow because I think you still need to check their profile and read the project whitepaper so you know that they are doing a good project or not.

I think the animated photos of the team is more like thematic rather than just trying to hide their own identity in their team profile. Though, they still should have their real photos and photos where they are shown in, where the team is engaging in different events to show transparency.

This is personal
Animated photos in the project team are not a trend, even though they look very impressed in their appearance, because the original photos do not necessarily guarantee they are not cheating, so if there is a team that uses photos in animated images it is doubtful the clarity of the project they are running.
That make seanse, and that is pretty good way for making more transparancy about their teams, but I did not see any project with animated team profile photos. How many projects do you know which are using animated team profile photos? Also, we can not be 100% sure that even with animated team profile photos, that particular project is not fraud.

Are they running ICO crowdfunding or just an Airdrop project. I know a project who hide their identity like BitWhite but they only do a bounty and Airdrop to distribute the coin and the project still alive and more development. But if they run ICO then you better avoid that project since they hiding their profile identity so they can easily run out to the project.

For me it depends on how they express their team, but for me they should take a formal picture, this is to convince many people that they are so serious to run their project, that was only my opinion.

If they are using animated photos, then that is the way how they design their website. How can you identify if they are a scam? Simply do research, I believe that some of the photo you are saying that is animated contains their name, description or even job backgrounds or past companies that they worked for. Also, I do believe that if they are real ICO, they won't use totally animated photos, or they have some secondary or supporting photo for that animated one. It is not a good decision if they want investors to invest in their project.

Actually it makes no sense whatsoever for any project Dev to hide behind a mask be it an animated image or a blank profile picture. I insist, if a project team and dev has nothing to hide, there is simply no reason why they should hide behind any cloak. A clear image and brief detail about a team goes a long way in reassuring would be investors that truly, there is a team behind the project. This atmosphere is volatile and as such deserves all the carefulness one can get.

For me, from my personal opinion is like this. People who use real photo sometime can run after get money from people who invest on their ICO, how people can believe if they use animated photo. I mean actually it is ok, but must be accompanied with real profile like in linkedin or anything else that can prove he is real person.

It was before because of the belief about cryptocurrency as full anonymity but when it comes to a project that needs crowdfunding from the investors, it is not decent to post an animated profile of a team.  Why do they hide their real photo? So I agree it is a red flag to see a project that needs funding to use an animated photo.  Unless the project is fully funded by the team itself and need not collect investment from people.

i agree with your point. if a certain project wants to raise their funds from the community and they are using animated photos, you need to be careful with your investments. they can easily abandon the project if they want to because they are anonymous. the major reason why a particular project is using animated photos or avatars is to stay anonymous and they don't want their identities to be exposed. normally, these projects have hidden agenda, either to run away with the funds or they want to keep their identities private to avoid legal proceedings from their country. you need to do your own research if you encounter a project like this.

What do you mean by animated. Do you mean dynamic profile photos or virtually created one? For me it is not important, the important thing is if the team is transparent and KYC verified.

If you see any profile with animated pictures, you better be careful. It means the team wants to be anonymous which makes such a project dangerous to invest in.
Animated photos is not a threat to the promotion of the project and its posted features. In my opinion, there is no such big difference between animated and normal pictures of team members.
