This is only preferable if price stays the same. I prefer constant rewards too, but I was in when HYP jumped to $0.03 per, and now it's at $0.005. My 2 BTC worth is now worth .1BTC. Maybe I'm being clouded by previous past experiences, but knowing markets, once the price gets high enough people are bound to cash out eventually.
