I'm sure that once some promotions start it will help 1337 coin get a lot more exposure. Here is a little tip for people who don't have much to invest and want to get some 1337 coins. Start by claiming from Doge and LTC faucets and then use what you earn there to buy 1337 coins. I and a couple of others I know have been doing this for a long time now and that is how we were able to build up our 1337 coin stakes. I also earn a lot more from staking as I have been letting it all compound over the months waiting for that day when hopefully 1337 coin will be 100+ sats.

Now is very bad time for the faucet. All coins are a price rise, and not very profitable for faucet owners. It is a long way for earn to buy 1337. I find there one 1337 faucet, and give a link to one my crypto-newbie friend, but his a disappoint because of lowered rewards to 5 coins. I had to buy him some coins to have for staking.  Cool
and yes, Twitter campaign it would help for price bump and more people with own 1337
Yeah right if this one has been done 3 months ago im sure you can got good numbers of rewards but doing it now it will take some time since faucets earning also decreasing after the big rise of btc better to wait for any promotions or bounty coming out again from the dev.

Yes I agree that before all the crypto currencies started to go up we could earn a lot more 1337 coins from faucets and by selling Doge and LTC for 1337 coins. My point is that new people coming into 1337 coin who don't have spare money to invest can do this to earn and build on their 1337 coin bags. In my opinion it is still worth it as if people stay active collecting from say the moon faucets such as Doge and LTC then they can still earn a decent amount to then be able to buy some 1337 coins. Even now I still continue to claim from faucets but not as much maybe a few times a day instead of every 15 minutes like I used to.

Our ticker needs to be changed from 1337 so that it is eligible to be listed on Bittrex/Poloniex, which don't allow numbers in it. Perhaps change it to ELITE or LEET?

Bittrex adoption is the next big step for this coin.

*Edit - actually it appears Bittrex is listing 2GIVE, 8BIT, and 1ST, even though their submission form says no numbers.  Velvet have you had any communication with them whether they would potentially accept it once market cap, etc is adequate?

Coin getting dumped to shreds. People seem content with getting peanuts instead of holding. Might also be the staking rewards getting dumped. Would be great to reduce the apr drastically.

Yeah I agree, people seem to be satisfied with their 1 satoshi gains when they've seen how high it can jump.
The market volume has decreased significantly, it was over 80 btc a few days ago.
Apr needs to be decreased more, it's still too high.

just wait until end of 2017 :-)

Hello guys! I have a question: What "Not yet redeemed" on a transaction means?

https://i.imgur.com/RfIORNF.jpg

When viewing a block explorer for certain cryptocurrency blockchains, you might come across an address with a status of "Not Yet Redeemed".

This status indicates that there is a current balance of funds located at that address that have been received (input). These funds are considered "Not Yet Redeemed" until they are moved to another address (output).

If you see that an address you own shows a status of "Not Yet Redeemed" it means that you have received funds from ShapeShift and they are sitting in that address ready for you to spend.

first up in google ^

Thanks for the answer!
Actualy I have requested a withdrawn for some 1337 coins from novaexchange, but the coins wasn't issued in to my desktop wallet and the block explorer show me that "Not Yet Redeemed".
I'll resync  wallet from 0 to see what it brings.

I'm not sure if you have the latest version of the wallet if not 1.8 you should install it and the transaction will show up after its done.
Else it could be nova is still not updated and you will have to contact there support i know they had some issues but i'm not sure if they fixed that haven't heard anyone asking for nova in a few days.
But one of the above causes the problem if it's not your wallet it might be nova is still not on the right blockchain

Hello I am new to staking and I am wondering how I get started? I have the 1337 wallet with my coins in it, now what?

Now you have to do absolutely nothing but do remember keep your wallet unlocked otherwise you won't get stakes.

Hello I am new to staking and I am wondering how I get started? I have the 1337 wallet with my coins in it, now what?

Need to wait at least an hour before it starts staking. Then you just leave it. There's some tutorial videos on the front page if you need more information.

It seems not a bad idea to get w00t as a short term, because coin value would grow because of that, but there is a question how good dev could develop two coins at same time so.. I see there third option that seems decent one - rebrand coin, upgrade site, make new logo, etc. That way ALL 1337 upgrades to w00t. Altought most important is not coin name or page, but real use of a coin and projects related.

You're right that the real use of a coin is important, but let's take DogeCoin for instance. Doge have a very good marketing, which is also important.

What do you think guys will happen when the Ether bubble exploes? Is 1337 a safe habour in your view?
