Excellent article! Good work. I'm mining 42 with a virgin xfx r9 280, currently at 580 kHz, tweaking for the sweet spot of 710 (I hope). The card just came today and I replaced my 2 week R9 270x, which I had been using to mine '42 for the last 24 hours. So I gots a little bit.
Anyway, love the concept of this coin, and your lecture which was referenced in the article. Good stuff. I'm just learning about 'coin in the last two months and I'm having a ball. Too bad I have to go to work to pay the bills - this is a fun hobby (and I've counted computers/programming a hobby since the late 70's).
I love the smell of newly painted virgin GPU cards as they rise above 70C for the first time...

I think there is a small glitch on Cryptsy's side.
I didn't panic sell, I just wanted a very small amount of BTC by selling a little 42. But it felt like I simply can't, so I found myself decreasing my sell price over and over again until I found it too ridiculous to continue.
I guess I am not alone with this experience and this would easily explain the fast dropping even if some or even most of the orders get instantly fulfilled.

Strange. I forgot I should have kept a very small amount of BTC on Cryptsy, so I tried to sell 0.002 BTC worth of 42. I always placed the sell order at top buying (not even halfway between low sell and top buy) price, but the transaction just never happened. I moved it lower and still nothing. It seems like it will take longer than wiring that BTC through wallets rather than inside Cryptsy. But that's the smaller problem. Why is 42 trading so laggy and/or buggy on Cryptsy?
