Sorry if this has been answered before, but how will Loot track player skill without triggering an anti-cheat system? Also, how will you prevent any sort of cheating, abuse, manipulation, etc of the tracking system?

Do you have to be an adult to use Loot?

I would hope not, that would really cut their user base by 70% I would think.

Will this eventually be available for mobile platforms?

Good question. There's a whole ton of games that are only being played on mobile now.

I think with competitive games this could be good if it incentivises improvement. The first thing I do when I start a new game is find out how to be good at it and work hard and learning getting better.

Is there any way to prevent 'bots' from farming Loot and devaluing it?

I've seen this happen a lot with in game currencies. If the currency is worth any real money at all, meaning if people are willing to buy currency rather than work for it, there will be bots. Even the biggest companies in the world can't stop all bots.

There is already a lot of incentive to cheat in games, including financial incentive.  Players farm gold, skins and other items and sell them on 3rd party sites.  Introducing our crypto solution doesn't change that, make it worse, or better.  It is impossible to stop 100% of this type of behavior from players, but solutions like Valve Anti Cheat, Battle Eye an other have done a good job of mitigating the worst of it.  Our own home grown solution is something we've been building for years (we are not a new business) and has also been proven to stop the worst of it.  Here is a video demo: https://vimeo.com/132487908

Signal Zero looks really useful, and obviously relevant. You guys made that also?

Signal Zero is the name of the company, but the video that shows all of the loss mitigation and data capabilities is typically referred to as "The Signal Zero Platform" and yes, its been an ongoing project for us since 2014.  Thanks a lot by the way.

Are these your two main projects you've done? Any other big ones?
there is mention of enough for this project interested gamers. with the existence of several solutions such as valve anti cheat and other make the game lovers become comfortable in playing. and I will also be more interested when the project is working with big games like dota etc.

Looks interesting  Wink

Was hoping for more POW launches, so many ico's about and most never deliver

Just today these guys started play games for ETH!! They're dropping daily REP codes in their TG channel https://t.me/lootrewards which you can level up and trade for ETH... bloody good to be able to do this with the current crypto market imo

This does seem interesting, to earn money quickly by playing - is it possible to check out some type of demo/tutorial for it? How can I find out a bit more?

We have a sort of "virtual simulation" setup on taprivals.com.  Signup and play for free.  Everything you win right now is virtual, so it lacks many of the obvious benefits of crypto, but it will give you an idea.

This is easy to use. Seems like a lot of attention to ease of use went into it. You'd be surprised how many proof of concept I try to use and it's usually just not intuitive at all.

Can you use RNG to create loot-boxes for Loot?

Great question.  The Loot protocol and how it is generated and awarded to players is based entirely on their skill in relation to other players.  There is no randomness or chance involved at all.  If you get a better score, you win more Loot.

Skill is tracked per activity in each game.  So your performance in game X and activity Y is always compared to other "XY" players.  Players in game A and activity B are tracked separately against one another as "AB" players.

This works in any game, because its a system of measuring players against each other, regardless of game.  We are testing this right now on taprivals.com with virtual points etc.  Players love it, and they tend to play the games they are best at.
