Yes masternodes can be function as private transactions, but it doesn't mean that it is fully untraceable. Everything is depicted on the explorer.

i think the Dev means that every transaction can be tracked via their explorer if you really look through it, like who is transferring huge amount of coin.

It is kind of a good thing to be able to see those, because we dont want the dev to move pre mine undetected Grin
