anyone with active connections care to share a zip of their Aerome data directory (minus the wallet file) so that we don't need to download the whole blockchain? having trouble connecting to anyone on the network

Agreed this is a huge possibility too.

but what IF he comes out with a finished product and the coin was assumed dead AF (No wallet nodes or Exchange listing), couldn't he just get the old blockchain running again on a new platform?

Will people care about the past if it's suddenly a good product that exists?

I honestly couldn't care less which way it goes.

An update would be good, but I get that if you haven't finished a product your just going to get people annoying you.

Although if you have completely stopped working on it, Just tell us to save us all time from checking this page.

The current community posting in AeroMe seem way more decent than a year ago,  so feel free to update us Majika.

There's positives to not having a listing:

-No extra emotions created by investors when price goes up or down, developer can focus on product with less disturbances

-Unable to buy it currently which will create a lot more demand if or when it is released - the price of the coin may sell much higher (instead of being smashed to bits on bittrex waiting for a product)

I'm sure there's more - could be why Majika didn't bother contacting Bittrex to keep it listed.

Could be a lot more work involved in AeroMe, could be the end.

My bet is that it's not and that there's more to come.

Coin might not survive for long this way. Someone has to maintain nodes, someone has to stake. If no update is given, people will lose faith and stop their wallets.

What other names does this Majika guy have? If he is experienced programmer working in crypto, he just cannot concentrate on a single project for so long (and probably he never did). If he is alive and still does programming, most probably he is involved with some other projects. This project is either suspended or is in background. I believe he will never resume work on this, even if he honestly thinks he will.

If he is honest man, he would come here for a moment, announce the end of this project, and offer his investors and believers a swap to one of his current projects. Honest and responsible people do that way. Scammers just disappear.

last message from dev on twitter was an answer to questions--- said he was working on dev still so... who knows. move your coins off bittrex, keep offline

yeah definitely worth holding your AM just in case

You are right.
I just download the Zip file to install the wallet

Now, the wallet is opened but there are 0 connexions....

is there a list of nodes up to date or a config file available?

Bittrex wallet status shows this:

Code:
Status     Currency     Block Height Connections     Last Update     Last Checked                            Notice
Normal     AM           803667          1               0 minutes       Sun Oct 09 2016 04:26:38 GMT+0500

So there are at least two active nodes - Bittrex + the staking node it is connected to. Unfortunately Bittrex does not publish the IPs...  Undecided
