Don't know if Majika is still around or not. He was always elusive. My guess would be he's on to other things.

But the coin is open-source and the network is still functional, so we don't technically need the original dev team involved to keep it running or improve it.

I was tinkering around with the source code yesterday, musing on if it would be worth making an improved wallet that would work on mobile and desktop. Maybe that would get some more people running nodes again.

The Aero ME coin source looks like it was originally branched from Novacoin some time in 2013-2014 and then modified by Majika over the subsequent years. I might be able to diff the AeroME source with the novacoin source and pull in some of the improvements they've made to their wallet without mucking with the two blockchain's functional differences.

I almost forgot about this coin... Anybody still active here?

I have around 200k AM in my wallet from ages ago that I'd be happy to sell/trade to someone that wants to try and revitalize this network. Maybe even sponsor a give away?

I just got my wallet up and running again, and I honestly can't believe I was able to get any nodes connecting after all this time. This little coin has determination, that's for sure!

Someone should run an ICO for Aerome haha seems to be the trend right now. Your 200k coins would be worth a packet.

I have tried to contact them many times about this issue. I think the Wallet has been in maintenance for more than a year now. I asked them what the problem is, but no answer. If more people contact them they might consider solving the issue.

The sad part is I don't think they'll reply to us without paying lol.

Well, I just received 500AM from an unknown sender too. I guess it is the same address? I don't know who did it, but thank you anyway. I believe there is more people still following this thread than it appears.

Hi everybody

just to check the health of the blockchain and nourish it with some transactions I'll be sending out 5 AM to everyone posting his wallet address in this thread. Just let me know if the transaction went through.

Thank you!

Hi everybody,

I received the wallet and managed to open it. It was an AeroME wallet, but it contained only 56 coins. We won't get far with that, unless AM ever gets worth as much as btc. If anybody feels the need to claim a part of these coins, just let me know.

Thank you Microguy to give our community the opportunity to get these coins back. I think Chris is right and that cryptsy never made the swap (probably they knew already what was going to happen to them), but getting the wallet back seems the right thing to do anyway. Somehow it belongs to the Aero(ME) community. I posted a claim for the wallet on the goldcoin forum and will keep you updated on the outcome. If there is anything useful in it we can see together if it can be used by the community or should be redestributed.

I'm sure Cryptsy was running the old Aero wallet and not upgraded to AeroMe but I may be wrong
