These just arrived to me today!

Ultracoin physical 1.5" Black Nickel collector coin!

I did a limited batch of 100 coins. They are individually number 1/100 through 100/100 .

Here is a quick picture.

Front side has a UTC logo with a coin design I made. The backside has some coin information ( coin release date, total coin supply, coin type )

More pictures to follow, and I will update them on my website as well!

I'm going to start these at an Intro price of $11 for each coin!

Are we still getting second block explorer? Bitgo is down for more than 24 hrs

Yes, I am currently developing http://utcchain.info/  I encourage anyone who can to donate so I can dedicate more time to this, I know the community desperately needs it, but my time is divided as it is.

I'm the same way. He even wanted to offer their services at a price reversal in any direction. I just buy what the price began to fall . Or sell - whatever the price immediately began to grow.

Block reward halving wont really impact price too much IMO, you might see 2% rise or something.
The downward pressure on the price of the coin isn't really from dumpers, since UTC is already almost impossible to mine anyway (not that many people are going to waste their time setting up miners and dealing with constant tweaking just to dump IMO).

The reason price is low, is because coin just doesn't have enough of a media presence, and not that many people use it, UTC is a very slow growth coin atm, Doge and Pot are exploding in value somewhat, while UTC and other coins are pretty much in a slump.

Only the cream of the crop seems to be rising as of late, you are going to have to wait till the majority of crap scrypt coins die off and have zero miners before UTC can see any meaningful gains IMO.

Progress report:

-Change the blockreward

As you know the current model turned out to be unsustainable,so we had to take action to ensure the interest of everyone. In this original model the daily supply is 144000 as opposed to LTC`s 25000.This means there has to be at least 6 times more demand for UTC then there is for LTC.This is an unrealistic expectation for a new coin, aswell as having 52% of the total coins mined in the first year.

We are taking an eco friendly route and all mining will be completed within 6 years time from now,we will have a blockreward of 15 for 4 years, and then a blockreward of 10 for 2 years. After this 6 year perdiod we are transitioning into 100% pos,and 10 million UTC will be distributes as POS rewards.

I beg your pardon. My translator translates badly so I do not quite understand the meaning. You're talking about reducing the volumes of coins miners, or that soon the miners will receive many times more coins than it is now? Say, now, I get a day at a speed of 350 coins ("+ - " 400kH/s) How much will I get coins after this update blockreward? More or less than this value, consider the complexity of course constantly.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

When is the block reward changing?

within a few weeks
max 2 weeks, maybe this sunday sounds better Kiss

Too short is BAD. You need to give enough time for people to adjust to the upcoming lower block reward.
Then in best case scenario, people will start buying more UTC in anticipation and price will rise before it.
If the price does not rise and block reward halves, you'll just get less miners and price will remain same.
So yeah, I think minimum 2 weeks and max 4 weeks should be a decent time frame IMO.

it would be good to put the information in the header, for example NEW UTC phase 2 project, UTC Arbitrage beta site, Coincontrol, change block rewards etc.
On the first page and pools put countdown when be change blocks reward.
Attract the attention and give the last chance to buy cheap UTC.

I still dont know what going on with UTC, im running 6 280x gpu's.. only getting 6 coins in 1 hour test run.. with the current difficulty of 0.6 i should be getting 16 coins per hour.. but not even close.. can somebody help me out? is there something i missing? by the way im running 50-52 khs on each card.

I think 16 coins an hour is a bit optimistic. With that setup you would be lucky to get 10 with the current avg difficulty.

Can i ask how can you say that i would only get 10 coins? according to coinwarz i should be getting 14-16 coins a hour.. from 300khs avg.
stales/rejects/orphanes/ping/difficulity changes/WU decide how much we get really.
Keep your utc because you do not get them so easy soon after the change of the amount of the block.
Do not sell too cheap Smiley
What is "too cheap" for a coin that it's price went from ~0.0012 (when I joined utc) to a ~0.00006 ?

Look at it like an opportunity, the coin has potential to rise. There are a lot of people really working towards its success, yes there have been issues with the distribution of mining and POS/nfactor, however the devs are listening... more importantly they are changing the coin

Hi all.
I'm with Ultracoin for a while and as most of us I would like that our "precious" go up and up. I've been wondering is it difficult to implement Ultracoin paymants on internet auctions such as ebay or Allegro (in Poland and all Easten Europe)? Maybe there are some legal issues I have no idea of, but it would be great to buy something and pay with Ultracoin Smiley Of course portals like those could collect some fees for each transaction ie. 0.1 UTC. If that's impossible or stupid just ignore my post Wink

hi you can use utc to pay with various sites on https://pock.io/cards

other spending places can be found here: http://ultracoin.net/shop.html

 Cheesy
This is nice, but those are gift cards only Smiley I meant it would be great to pay directly with UTC on ebay or Allegro Cheesy but I realize that is difficult to achieve.
I also have a question about POS: do I have to each time I start UTC wallet use "'walletpassphrase' yourpassword '999999999' true"? After rebooting my rig and launching wallet it is locked again.

BTW, I'm from Poland Wink
