These just arrived to me today!

Ultracoin physical 1.5" Black Nickel collector coin!

I did a limited batch of 100 coins. They are individually number 1/100 through 100/100 .

Here is a quick picture.

Front side has a UTC logo with a coin design I made. The backside has some coin information ( coin release date, total coin supply, coin type )

More pictures to follow, and I will update them on my website as well!

I'm going to start these at an Intro price of $11 for each coin!

Nice work on the logo! New version looks a lot smoother. It resembles a coin a more but doesn't go too much towards an 'iconized' logo.

Personnaly I would skip the rounded text for the following three reasons:
  • too many technical terms (non tech savvy persons might get scared Tongue)
  • if any of the terms would change in the future you'd have to replace the base logo (which can be a real pain in the *** when it's widely used)
  • the text would become hard to read and make the logo less readable when using smaller versions of the logo (small chest logo on a T-shirt, favicon, small logo's on the various exchanges)

In regards to the rounded text, the mention of the transaction time could be done as kind of a slogan below the actual logo. That way you can use the logo separately or combine it with a slogan. Then depending on it's use, use one or the other. Adjusting the slogans would not affect the base logo. For example, when using it in an arbitrage context the 6 sec. transaction time is great, for mining the ASIC resistance makes sence and general promotional 'Ultrafast' would be a very good one. It gives you much more flexibility.

Thank you i don't make that logo, i'm untalented  Wink
I just came up with this idea and commissioned that to a three specialists.
Bumface suggested earlier to keep the letter u with stripes, I think it was a good idea to keep the recognition of the original logo. I wanted to be just a little refresh and modernize in the face of imminent positive changes in UTC. I do this only for you all.
Your suggestions is very good.
Updates soon:)

Enough of the logo designs! The one we have is fine and isn't changing! Quit wasting ur time on them and use ur time more constructively, such as tweeting or spreading the word to get more people involved in our community.

When is the block reward changing?

still very very long time
Block reward: 50, halving every 990,000 blocks
currently only 214387

Block reward is changing very soon to 15 coins per block

Maybe 1-2 weeks away

Progress report:

-Change the blockreward

As you know the current model turned out to be unsustainable,so we had to take action to ensure the interest of everyone. In this original model the daily supply is 144000 as opposed to LTC`s 25000.This means there has to be at least 6 times more demand for UTC then there is for LTC.This is an unrealistic expectation for a new coin, aswell as having 52% of the total coins mined in the first year.

We are taking an eco friendly route and all mining will be completed within 6 years time from now,we will have a blockreward of 15 for 4 years, and then a blockreward of 10 for 2 years. After this 6 year perdiod we are transitioning into 100% pos,and 10 million UTC will be distributes as POS rewards.

I beg your pardon. My translator translates badly so I do not quite understand the meaning. You're talking about reducing the volumes of coins miners, or that soon the miners will receive many times more coins than it is now? Say, now, I get a day at a speed of 350 coins ("+ - " 400kH/s) How much will I get coins after this update blockreward? More or less than this value, consider the complexity of course constantly.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hey! Have I asked the question so complex that it no one can give an answer? Dear, bumface, please give an explanation.

Hi everyone! Thought I'd give an update on the UTC Arbitrage site - I'm getting very close to releasing a beta version, putting some ui touches on it now and greatly expanding the exchanges and coins covered. We also are meeting with exchanges to try to get some changes made - specifically to add more utc pairs, but also to talk about how we can partner with them to make this a success. As this progresses, we'll keep you updated! Here's the latest screenshot: (and ignore the bottom charts, those are static images right now, that's one of the things I'm still working on).

Hey peeps, I'm beginning the process of *slowly* migrating my mining rigs from AMD-based gpus to 750ti rigs (it's starting to get hot and humid here in the southeast US and it's time to start thinking low power/low heat).  Just wondering if anyone mining with 750tis could share what their hashrates are for the current N-factor and any advice you have for configs.  I've never mined CUDA style before.  Thanks!
