So I'm wrong to expect the same trading experience as with stocks' platforms? CT was hacked for fiat.... FIAT. Basic "day one of the internet marketplace" stuff. I could sway my decision if cryptos were taken and not fiat, chocking it up to "another hacking" and stereotype all the exchanges. No cryptos were taken. And you disagree that CT was not responsible for people taking a loss at a market price CT created by dissolving UTC trading for a week? I did say it was foolish for those to sell, but they were influenced by CT. CT should be kissing more ass instead of asking us to pay to kiss someone else's ass.
You do realize that CT admin paid 2 BTC to Cryptsy votes?
CT is also giving out free UTC in the shoutbox and twitter.
They are now willing to give more UTC to the dev team.
It was also CT which allowed UTC to become established so quick in the first place. No?
So yeah, they did impact UTC but it wasn't all their fault for impacting UTC. Did they impact other coins also?
They were doing us a favor IMO. It was Ultracoin's fault more like for not being on other alternate exchanges.

are u using v 1.6? try restarting your wallet, try restarting computer, if that doesn't work, re-download wallet. back up your wallet.dat file if you have any UTC.

bumface, I think you are leading your people to victory, but at a unnecessary cost when you could negotiate a better deal if you had anything to do with this UTC/CT advertising campaign. If you didn't have anythign to do with it, then I apologize for my assumption. I thought about donating utc to the CT cause, and I may still donate to help the coin, even though I won't go back to CT a long time.
It's great for the coin, but not for the community, as I feel you are all being taken advantage of. You guys might see this as a great return on investment, but I think otherwise, lest how we forget so easily.
They just lost a ton of money, but the community lost a lot more money. lol, imo, they should do 25000utc worth of advertising for free, but I think 25000 is a little outlandish. Remember, everyone who had money at CT when they froze the exchange, lost 75% if they sold. Foolish, yes, but still a very real situation and CT's losses are dwarfed by the losses of the community, and now they want more $. CT only offered an apology after they held our coins for 1 week. "Sorry that you lost value" and offering a deal which we have to pay for 30% doesn't cut it. CT needs to grease palms a little better in my opinion. 7500utc is only 1.5 btc at this price, but when CT raises the price through their campaign, CT will have turned your 7500UTC into 25000utc they are 'spending'. Totally disagree with your assumption. Have you been following the news of late? Many of the major exchanges in the Crypto world have been hacked or gone offline completely in the past few weeks. CT communication was a bit poor around the time but I guess in hindsight that might have been a tad busy trying to work out just how much money they had lost and how they were going to keep going. They lost $30K to hackers which they swallowed. How did you work out the community lost more than they did? If you kept a substantial amount of UTC in the exchange then more fool you, isn't this against best practice rule number 1 in crypto?
CT aren't running a campaign they are giving the money to the development team, which in essence is Bumface and so we the community can determine how it is spent. Have you forgotten that CT also paid into the Cryptsy campaign to the extent of at least 1 BTC? If you don't want to donate that is your choice but I for one appreciate the continued support of CT, ask yourself if any other exchange would do this?

Hi all. New to the forum (and mining). Been mining regular scrypt for about a month. I am using 270/270x cards in the systems I currently have. On regular scrypt I get around 480-490 hash rate per card, which is pretty good on those cards. I know that mining UTC it will be a fraction of that but was wondering if anyone could share what they are getting if they have the same cards. Only been trying the Ultracoin miner a little last 2 days on my home system that has 1 270 and 1 270x in it. Getting around 93kh on the 270x and around 77kh on the 270, which I am pretty sure is low. Getting very few rejects but getting some hardware errors. I have played around with the intensity and TC settings but everything I do seems to make it worse and can't seem to find any good guides on here or elsewhere. Below is what I am current using which came off the UTC Leetpool site and was recommended for a 270x.

Looks to me like your TC is too low? I'm running Sapphire R9270x, 86Kh/s stable, 0 HW errors, 0.5% reject rate -

If a bitcoin-wisdom type chart is created , it would atleast double the volume on exchanges, anyway if this coin is ever going anywhere creating the proper trading tools is just another step along the way to success, it would certainly bode well for the community to have such awesome tools for this coin, as most coins are relegated to inferior trading tools.
Other steps we could take is things like:
Negotiating special trade deals, imagine if bumface could negotiate zero% trading fees on cryptsy for Ultra coin for a week? what would that do? volume would explode
In this life you only get what you negotiate for, never what you deserve.
Agenda should be:
1) Better trade tools
2) Trade deals
3) Feature Expansion
4) promotion
5) adoption by retailers and markets
6) profit
Features that need to be accelerated:
1 - Troll Box
2 - Charts and tickers as described above should be hosted on the primary ultracoin site, it would act as a boast of confidence saying "we aint afraid to show you what ultracoin is worth" blasted on front page
3 - Maybe our own damned exchange like Mint-Pal and MintCoin relationship (why the hell not?) an exchange with everything priced in UTC instead of bitcoin
how awesome would that be? the volume from multiple currencies . . . let it float against all the coins we can !4 - Video Tutorials on how to use currency explaining its features IE: Stake etc
5 - "Ultra Coin accepted Here" Platforms/Graphics/ etc (make it easy for people to start using it).
