Im sorry to say I have just put up most of my UTC for sale. Need to make at least some bank from supporting this with mining for some weeks now. I don't trust that BF is coming up with anything to drive the coin. Gone to the DRK side....some actual vision & development seems to be going on there

Bye & all the best to the bagholders

just curious if the upcoming nfactor difficulty is effecting the memory of the GPU or the system as a whole? basically, will I see better hashrates if I upgrade the systems memory?

system ram allows for larger TC on my 290, up to 61000 for 12gb ram.

I remember someone at CT was creating a mobile wallet for UTC and was apparently nearly finished. This was over a week ago.
I'm really curious on the progress if she/he is reading this thread.  Grin

That was me, the wallet is finished just doing some testing on it to work out a few bugs.
Should be done middle of next week. Its only for android though, still working on iOS and windows mobile.

Ooh. That's great to hear. How does it work? Does it download the entire blockchain to the phone?
I use Android so I'm happy that you are making it first. I'm sure majority uses Android also.  =)

I think it's Jarod1231 if im not mistaken

Be sure to vote for UltraCoin!  This poll decides which coin gets added to Atomic-Trade.com next.

I am holding one in my hand as I type. No my card silly  Grin.  Yes there is only one 6 pin power connector on the card. Curious about that as I thought it drew all it's power through the pcie slot. Mebe not. I hope the reduced power consumption and heat load will keep me in the mining game for a bit more. Ugh, tired. A pair of san's at work died over the weekend and vmware freaked the fuck out. Haven't been able to do much trading while at work  Shocked. I like mining scrypt-jane. Sounds sexy too. Hey honey, want to see my scrypt-jane miners? Sure babe, nice hash-rate.

Correct on the price drop calculation for arbing. I have made a profit on every trade, however large or small. It's when I panic, get bored or my fucking finger clicks when I don't want it too that I have lost. I pull all my coins home every night now. very scared. Gox you once shame on them. Gox you twice shame on me.

Trying to to my bit here. Sold all my MRC & Doge to BTC and bought UTC at mintpal at the highest rate. Quite a few buy orders got executed (apart from myself) . Even though the price is (far too) low it shows that there is some faith in UTC. Why else would there be any buys

Almost time for Scrypt asics to arrive then we should see more people jump onto UTC mining as scrypt diff is gonna skyrocket.
And what becomes of the scrypt-asics when the other coins start raising the N-factor?  Huh
A piece of metal and plastic. Scrypt is not SHA, it was developed as ASIC unfriendly so buying an ASIC is cheating and will be prosecuted. Just by devaluating your ASIC to peace of useless crap.

There are 2 bad possible scenarios:

1) you will not be able to mine at all because all minable coins die or get hard forked to ASIC-resistancy.

2) more probable - no new coins will be asic minable and old coins will die off and in the end you will be able to mine only few coins with terrible difficulty and no profitability.

of course dont forget scearios like "you will get scammed by Muhammad Scammahad" or "ASIC will break down first day of run".

arbing of UTC is possible however even the best arbitrage is still generating a loss when the price plummets...
