guys since change over I get mostly hardware errors?

any help appreciated 5 utc to first person that tells me what to do.

this is my line for 280x
ultracoinminer -o  stratum+tcp://utc.idcray.com:10001  -u imginy.1 -p x --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 -I 13 -w 256

getting more HW errors than accepted shares now this coin seem's broke

Roll Eyes coin is fine, ASIC resistance doesn't come for free, it adds some complications. We need different miner settings on some cards. I believe lowering the intensity will help, testing now.

yep: intensity helps! gone from I 13 to I 12 : No hardware errors so far. Running 1100, 1500 with that and am getting 300k on R9 280X

Getting 320KH/s on R9 280X with 0 HW errors.. And intensity at 20!

However my 290 is getting HW errors Sad

drop your intensity by 1 on your '290

hallo @ all

got only short question:

does the mining calculator on coinwarz work right with ultracoin?

in other words:

how many utc can i get with about 1000kh/s per hour ?

With the very recent adjustment, I don't know if that calculator will be accurate with the old settings.  Make sure your hashrate and net diff are up to date.

The graph looks cool right now.

What happened to the hash rate?
7970 just got 290 right now,and it seems all of us are the same situation

It's a feature of scrypt-jane. I'm amazed how you all don't know anything about the coin you're mining.

But since everyone is in the same boat, it really doesn't matter as long as n doesn't become so large our GPUs can't mine it anymore. The amount of coins you get will be  the same, diff went from 12-14 to 6-7 as everybody's hashrate dropped.

lol I was freaking out thinking there was something wrong with my GPU's .. went to bed last night getting double the hashrate I'm getting now.. wake up and i'm getting half and cant seem to fix it... but now that I see everybody else is having the same issue.... lol

It appears that on the 3 smaller cards I have, dropping the intensity by 1 seems to do the trick.  It also sounds like this is across the board.

How do we remove the HW errors?  And same cards are giving diff hash rates.

zero hardware errors on a 7870. Continuing to mine on that one. Rig with R9 280X 80 HW errors each card in less than a minute. Mining elsewhere now.  A worry unless its a feature we will loose loads of miners. Not good. Unless somebody can explain / talk it up ?
whats your setting on 7870?

im a 280x miner and getting 30% hash rate from normal srypt cant be right

with I 11 i get 0 HW but now hash is 149

Switching 7970 to intensity 12 instead of 13 gets rid of HW errors. Testing higher I's now.

For now I have switched my 7970s yeah...until someone who knows their stuff comes up with settings that work.

Understanding scrypt-jane a little bit ( I am by no means an expert ), I was wondering if this change would show up.  It is cool, for every miner that has smaller video cards, it re-levels the mining playing field.  The smaller video cards can now hash at a difficulty that allows them to just not mine the 'easier' blocks.  Very cool !! A coin for the people -- all people.
