Anarchy is not chaos.
sorry, i should have clarified, im mining in a pool not solo.  Seems to have gone dead, miners are accepting shares but pool seems to not be paying anything out.

Anyone heard any asic coin news?

btw, whats with this forum, both times ive post it says i posted 360 seconds ago (when i have not) and then it gobbles my post!

Newbie restrictions.  It's an unmititgated pain in the ass, and really only screws with the newbies who are NOT trolls. Troll don't give a fuck. When you have a few more posts and move up to the "jr. member" category, it gives you less shit.

And no, it doesn't make sense. Like many things here in Mos Eisley.

I'm trying to mine solo with ASICCoin and using MultiMiner but I continually get 0 Accepted shares.

I even went into the AsicCoin-qt and activated the internal mining function and still nothing as far as I can tell.

Any idea why its just zero shares?

The blocks are all caught up.

I am having the same issue with my miners ( all on cryptocoin pool).  Its all went dead >.<)

hello forum and all that btw Smiley

when you are mining solo accepted shares means you find a block so it is normal )

Thank you, it worked. I'm in Smiley

Edit: is it possible to add that file or the information to the standard windows installer? I do think that everybody knows how to find the appdata folder or knows how to start a program via command line so that you can set a parameter for the configuration file.

haha! VERY good question! To be honest I didn't even think of that like I said this is all just beginning brainstorming but doesn't look like its really gonna work either way ASC is crashing and the community and Devs are more or less MIA, I am only one person and I work 16 hrs a day on top of that so my time to devote to this is VERY limited

sorry for being absent but ya I was saying if we did a hard fork we could re-build it from the ground up, part of ASC's problem is it's massive supply of coins, the other two problems are no dev support and no infrastructure to create a ASC demand I've gotten really freaking busy in RL and could deff use some help.
This is all preliminary brainstorming as there just hasn't been enough support from the ASC community so far to actually move ahead with any plans and I have very little free time to implement anything either. I'd say we need to put together a ASC Re-Launch Team we need a Dev (or Devs), a Community Manager (PR), Graphic Artist (To redsign Logo and help with the aestics of the Wallet and websites) and Web Admin to help build and administrate a new ASC Website plus pool/rental website (rentals payable in ASC only of course) I'm on pretty good terms with Wuher so if we did a relaunch I could see about getting ASC 2.0 listed on IPOMiner.com and if that happens I'm sure Wuher would get ASC 2.0 listed on Bittrex and we could try Cryptsy but that would require much more community support.

If you guys want to start working on this please PM me and start spreading the word also if you guys know any Devs, GAs, or Web Admins (or are one yourself) PLEASE get them interested and start recruiting If we are gonna do this then we need to get on the ball NOW before ASC tanks completely

if asc 2.0 will be improved, what happens to all mined asc 1.0?

We have added AsicCoin on our wiki. And now has it's own page on http://coinwik.org. This is a wikipedia listing all the alt coins to help everyone quickly find facts and links about their favorite coin.

http://coinwik.org/AsicCoin

If you know of other facts and links that can be added to the page, please feel free to update the page.

Hey all, new to ASC. You should advertise this to all the people with sha-256 block erupters, such as antminer u1 and u2's. It could give us the needed user base and add hashes to the network.

Even better; be a bro and get one to mine ASC, they're like 25 - 30 bucks these days.

No idea how to make that happen, but I think we can keep this coin alive. Spread the word. I'm going to hit 4chan maybe and try to start some ASC threads.

Lets do this  Cool

sha-256 block erupters, such as antminer u1 and u2
like this, have thought this too

Bring sha-256 back to the little guy, GPU are too expensive and burn too many watts, ASIC can be 'green', mine while you use you're computer.

It is a good angle.  Plus, the antminer u2 can be bought in bulk of 500?  Maybe we GROUPON'it?

We also need more ideas on what this coin can actually be used for we either need way more people willing to rent out their rigs for ASC or find a distributor willing to accept it as payment for ASICS.......in fact I can fulfill that need I will start sel ling Gridseed orbs for ASC on the forums here
we rent rigs for ASC
like this, have thought this too
In fact it is the perfect idea  Grin

.....ok so we need to come up with hard targets for max coins payout rate and halving schedule I'm thinking 210 million coins (x10 the amount of bitcoins) premine or no premine? Premine would be used for nothing other than initial bankrolling of ASICS to sell for ASC I.e. A buildup of ASC infrastructure. Payout of 102.4 initial per block halving at block 50,000 etc etc or does somebody have a better idea because I'm open to it

Not sure if I follow.  We change the algo to less max coins?  Please inform.
