When you make a transaction, if it is a large transaction, with little depth liquidity, the tokens you trade the rate may slip. A Relay Token is an ERC20 compliant Smart Token that is configured with two connectors, one that holds a balance of BNT and one that holds a balance of another ERC20 token. A Relay Token enables conversions between BNT and the connected token using an on-chain transaction. Because BNT can be converted into any other token in the Bancor Network, the connected token can also be converted to any other token, in another on-chain transaction.

How secure is the Bancor wallet? Do I need to consider using MEW, are there any insurances on our stored tokens? Thanks

Hi there, actually the two are both very similar wallets. They both work on chain the Ethereum network. And they both provide you with your private keys / 12 word phrase which is your responsibility to store. So as long as you keep your Bancor wallet information secure and safe, they are very secure wallets.

I just have signed up for Bancor network and created a Wallet. Do I need to send ETH first to my Bancor Wallet or can I connect my MetaMask Wallet Address direct with the Bencor

You can do as you wish. Since you've setup your Bancor Wallet, you can start using it! Don't forget to store your seed and keystore file in a safe place

Does anyone know how to find what price you bought at on your bancor? I go to transactions but it doesn't say a price I got it at

Hi there, when you made the transaction, you would have been given the token price. Now you would also have been warned of slippage.
The price at which the smart token is bought or sold for any of its reserve tokens is set by an algorithm which balances the current connector balance with the current smart token supply, at a predefined Weight, which is above 0 and up to 100%. The smart contract also recalculates its own price following each purchase (which causes price to increase) or liquidation (which causes price to decrease), in proportion to the transaction size. So, a larger purchase or liquidation will change the price more than a smaller one. This ensures that the connector cannot be drained and will always maintain their Weight of connector token balance in the contract. Thus, a smart token does not need to be listed in an exchange in order to be liquid and priced by the market.
So in other words, the token price can vary through the transaction but this will be alerted in the slippage.

“We see the Bancor Protocol as an elegant solution for liquidity that benefits all token holders
by offering a completely new paradigm for value exchange based on efficient automated market makers, powered by auditable smart contracts.
This is the future of fair, low cost and predictable value exchange, and we're excited to bring these benefits to the EOS.IO community.”

--Dan Larimer, CTO of block.one (creators of EOS)

Bancor isn't collecting fees on dropped transactions. I take it you're referring to gas. This is normal behavior of the ETH network
