I noticed that the bancor is gaining popularity and it pleases me as investor. Just take a look at the coming events:

5 February    Developer Week in Oakland, USA
5 February    Satoshi Roundtable in Cancun, Mexico
28 February  IFZ FinTech Conference in Zug, Switzerland
1 March        Crypto Virtual Summit, Online

Definitely this is one of the best projects launched on ETH Blockchain

I agree with you. The team does not stop working with the end of its ICO. Constantly new smart tokens appear on the platform of bancor. I follow with an interesting development of the project.

i ultimately think that all interesting and functional tech will be incorporated on top of Bitcoin in some capacity Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes and all the value and liquidity will get sucked up by Bitcoin in the long run Cheesy....i'm sure you disagree....Bancor will exist and be successful in either scenario...so we're both here for good reasons! Kiss Tongue

Looking at the slow-motion with which the technical improvements necessary to continue functioning are integrated in Bitcoin, I would not be so sure about your statement. Especially as the rest of the cryptospace is moving at the speed of light in comparison. I wish Bitcoin were faster in solving its problems of scalability. But it isn't.
On the other side Bancor is "merging" all other cryptoassets which chose to use its protocol into one giant "medium" of liquidity, thus creating a real giant single space. By the way of the Bancor Protocol Cryptolandia is now on the verge of an evolutionary jump, just like in the history of life on earth cells at some point have started to aggregate into complex organisms. Immerged in one single and multi-faced magma of liquidity provided by Bancor, we will soon have to speak about more complex financial and monetary crypto-organisms than the single old individual Bitcoin-like coins we have been used to until now.

Have you read this news from Bancor?

We're aware that CoinMarketCap has lowered the circulating supply of BNT. We're in touch with the CMC team and hope to have a solution soon. Stay tuned!

Is it worth worrying about? Or is it just a small technical malfunction?

Hey guys,
We extended the Hackme challenge deadline to Feb 18, 2018. This was just published in Chipin publication:
https://www.chipin.com/bancor-holds-hackme-challenge-valuable-crypto-purse/

In preparation for the upcoming Bancor Wallet launch, we challenge the community to hack an account in our demo environment. If anyone manages to do that, they will win a grand prize of BNT and ETH worth thousands of dollars.

That is great move from Bancor to make sure that wallet is really secure and trustless. They are taking all necessary step with great responsibility to provide secure environment to their users. I believe after this launch Bancor will be on the way to the moon because it deserve.

Yes, nothing is a better guarantee of safety than offering money to hackers if they win the challenge to hack your system. Very good choice. As usual, with Bancor.

Can anyone tell me the relationship of Bancor with Etherdelta? Is that where Bancor buys their tokens from?

There is no relationship between Bancor and Etherdelta.

Liquid Tokens that integrate the Bancor protocol are embedded with a smart contract which enables the tokens to both issue and destroy themselves.

Can anyone tell me the relationship of Bancor with Etherdelta? Is that where Bancor buys their tokens from?

No. Bancor protocol enables the creation of “smart tokens” which independently handle their own liquidity and price discovery through their smart contracts. The method smart tokens use to do this is by holding a balance of another token (let’s use ETH as an example) so that the smart token can be purchased by sending the connector token (ETH) to the smart contract (this ETH is then added to the connector balance, and smart tokens are issued to the buyer) or liquidated by sending smart tokens to the smart contract (the seller then receives ETH from the connector balance and the smart tokens are destroyed) all without needing a second party to trade with. The price at which the smart token is bought or sold for any of its reserve tokens is set by an algorithm which balances the current connector balance with the current smart token supply, at a predefined Weight, which is a above 0 and up to 100%. The smart contract also recalculates its own price following each purchase (which causes price to increase) or liquidation (which causes price to decrease), in proportion to the transaction size. So, a larger purchase or liquidation will change the price more than a smaller one. This ensures that the connector cannot be drained and will always maintain their Weight of connector token balance in the contract. Thus, a smart token does not need to be listed in an exchange in order to be liquid and priced by the market.

Bancor and Etherdelta are two separate services. There is no relationship

The thing with bancor and why I'm happy to have all my investment in BNT, is that in the long run it will be the most diverse portfolio possible when the long tail is captured. Thousands of tokens all containing a reserve of BNT 😀

This is a very smart way to look at it. I share the same positive view on Bancor, and for the exact same reasons, but you have phrased is in a very cool way, worth remembering.

The Standard Protocol - Solving Inflation
In my opinion, this could be big Bancor competitor in some areas of business...

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@kriptonoob/with-babb-everyone-is-the-bank

I don't even see BABB as being a competitor to Bancor in any way. Babb doesn't feature a liquidity protocol for tokens like Bancor. Projects that I'd agree that are competitors of Babb would be Monaco, TenX and of course centra (If It's not a scam).
