Ignoring any legit criticism will definitely improve this project. /s

You'll have to promote a tax coin and trust me the criticism coming from me right now is the most civilized one.

When this coins gets bigger, what you'll get on reddit and twitter will make you cry.

However I am aware it is already too late to fix this. You can't remove it and that's what you have to live with. Good luck. You'll need it.

spewing shit isnt really constructive critisism..if you dont like it, you dont have to participate. Those who joined beam knows ( I hope) what they got in to.

I am not participating already. I am speculating and there is nothing you can do about it. Get mad.

I am not saying the project is scam.

It is just a centralized dev coin where the devs will own a huge portion of the supply.

These are not FUD but facts.

Why do you count other people's money in their pockets?
20% is not only for developers, but also for investors :-)
Everything is logical and very well thought out. I like it.

I see a make us rich dev coin here, nothing else. Especially in a world where GRIN exists.
Ah! you are a dedicated GRIN troll. You are the epitome of reasons as to why many people are put off by GRIN.

OK  it seems like I was wrong about the time frame for the dev tax. It was only for 3 small years.

3 years.

For 3 whole fucking years... the devs will have %20 of whatever you got. This is as bad as the tax system in the US.

On one side you have GRIN where the devs work for free and the work they put up benefit every holder equally and on the other side, you have BEAM where you fund the devs with %20 of your income.

You really are a delightful soul, are you not? You could always go and mine coal, but that would probably take some physical effort, which doesn't exist behind a keyboard and spiteful hatred.

my recommendations to the rest of the bitcointalk community are as follows:

Why would anyone mine this coin? %20 of whatever you mined will go to the devs. (so they say) Who'll have the say about these locked coins and why? Who's the CEO of Beam?
this information is easily found on the website

Sounds like a centralized scam coin to me.
For those with ears to hear, shall hear all you have to say.

And this is not for a limited time, it'll go forever.
Wrong, the correct information on emissions is easily found for those who are able to read. You clearly are not one of those.

You could have had a chance only if you premined this like Darkcoin/DASH but not like this. Nobody in the right mind would ever touch this.
"Touching" a digital asset, interesting. Please do a how-to.

No matter how good the tech is, you can't expect to survive with this feature(!).
I am sure Beam will survive on this planet longer than trolling fudsters, who are after all, merely human.

i think we are moving into a space where we can feel comfortable. mining rewards are edging profitable (perhaps behind other coins - but still profitable) it's a comforatble position, from the eyes of a miner of Beam.

this activity is important. it will be able to bring profit to many participants. this is a really important factor. it must exist. in the cryptoindustry it is necessary to look for new methods of earnings. this is already happening as it was before. maybe, it would be even better, than it was.

It's hardly profitable at all, although depends heavily on what gpu you have of course. I mined some Beam a few months ago, but stopped due to very low profitability so I did not see the point in continuing to mine.
