I miss when crypto was about decentralisation.
Interesting to see 250gh/s on the network but less than 1mh/s on the pools.

We just hired an extra developer, and he begins work today on the Bela hard fork to Litecoin code. The project is estimated to take 600 hours, and he's going to try to get that done in 8 weeks. We'll weekly progress updates on how that's coming. Here's all that has to happen to make that a reality:

1. Pull both the Belacoin and LTC repos
2. Make branding changes to all entire repository to reflect Bela instead of LTC
3a. Nullify all recent soft fork elements to be reintroduced later
3b. Begin modifying core parameters:
-Genesis Block
-Beginning Diff.
-Difficulty Retargeting Algorithms
-First bits and magic numbers
-P2P Network Config
-Versioning
-Client Naming
-Checkpoints
-DNS Seeding
4a. Change the mining reward so a portion goes towards a development fund
4b. Maintain the integrity of the existing Bela network so that users retain the exact value of their wallets before the migration.
5. Modify current LTC protocol for QA to test releases of Bela
6. Create the migration infrastructure (preferably in the form of a web interface) or as a set of command line tools
7. Begin to reincorporate soft fork elements into Bela at set blocks
8. Once tested, build and publish a final release of Bela Qt.

We'd like to remind everyone to please stick to the official Bela mining pool: http://Minebela.com. Fees go back to support Bela's development, and when we make hard forks and other updates, we can not guarantee that the other mining pools will update their Bela wallets, potentially resulting in a loss of funds.

is it a new project or a rebranding?? no plan about bounties?? i'm amaze that this coin is traded on poloniex.

Bela was launched as 'Bellacoin' back in January of 2014. Since the coin is 3 years old and already quite established, there is no ICO or bounties to participate in. We took over development of the project back in November of 2016. Under our development, Bela was rebranded, received new wallet updates, and had a significant blockchain upgrade.

Hi,Pls can i mine Bela using my wallet on an exchange?

You likely can, although it's best to check with your exchange on the rules for that. It's possible that they may have that answered in an FAQ or support section. If you mine at http://minebela.com, payouts are done after a block is found.
Thanks
