the thing regarding prices is how everyone sees it. Those who are going to buy btc to buy these items of course is very expensive. They are not going to buy 1 btc for EU 600 to pay for an item  Euro 187 by giving half btc(in the end giving 300+ Euro instead of 187). For users who already have mined btcs then there in no problem.
WTF?! 1 BTC is 1 BTC, doesn't matter if you have them already or not.
No matter how you make your math you will lose BTC or cache at this price for sure

Is up to them if they are going to buy. The problem seems to be with suppliers cause in my opinion they have a cost of production + other expenses + profit = final price in $/Euro but because of the high rise of btc rate they decided to increase prices to benefit. They dont change prices/btc accordingly with rates

Everyone ASIC dealer out there is reducing there pricing almost every diff change to try and give customer half a chance to meet ROI and you increase price by 50%?

umm... you are a bit behind. Since the exchange rate went up people are raising prices. about 2 weeks ago i got 2 Blue furys for US$125 each on eBay. now they are going for between $200-$400, on eBay. The price of everything has gone up this week. USB ASICminer Block Erupters that were going for $10 -$15 are now between $20 - $30.

If you don't want to pay the price, don't, but currently it seems to be a seller's market.
It is up to us if it is a seller market or not. Demand and supply have to meet somewhere. If we are stupid enough to pay high it is our fault only. And note it is pain in the ass to make this things mine in quantities Smiley Hubs 5V power and that kind of nasty stuff Smiley And a lot of zombies of course
Someone has to design special cooling for usb cables also Smiley
How much in terms of amps does this thing consumes?
This thing is a toy for someone to get familiar with mining that is all. And it is expensive toy for sure.

What the FUCK??

You advertised these at 178 euros and then changed the price to 187 ($252USD) which was OK by me, I was about to order 2 of them last night but got caught up with something else so I thought I would do it this morning and now I see you are charging 0.55BTC approx $375 each

*ugh*

When I view the Site, the price for the  Bi•Fury 5+ GH/s USB Miner is....  0.55 € (that's 55 Euro Cents or ~0.74US$) ??!
That would be quite a deal, for that price I'd purchase about 1000 of them Wink

(I'm sure that's a Font error showing the Euro Symbol instead of some BTC Symbol, the Webmaster should check that....)

-- edit --

Viewed it a 2nd time and the bug is gone.... That was quick...

price wasn't 178euro  at first? now it says 187...why the increase?

Edit: 0.55btc at the moment is 253euro so again increased price

note: Shop needs some fixing price showing as 0.55 Euro

Also, why not just show the price in BTC too?

Isn't cooling the devices with ice and later water dangerous for the device?

As long as the device itself doesn't get wet, it is no problem.

These have temperature sensors, and that's with an 80mm fan pointing at it. Without the fan it gets to over 90 degrees and then I pull it out with gloves on for fear of it melting. This engineering sample doesn't shut off even after I close cgminer so it just keeps getting hotter unless I pull it out.

How the designer of the Red/BlueFury cools his down.

Does he really do that? I might buy one off of the store right now and test that out.

Ya, he did I think he was messing about with his units for fun trying to get more HASH out of em or something... pretty extreme way to play with it I guess there was no dry ice around. They make cool ice cubes for drinks I told him.

Does it actually cools it down significantly or is it just by a little?

Hi,
I think I should comment on this because it is my way of cooling :-). I guess the attentive reader has noticed that it is also a dual Bitfury miner. And the ice cubes gets the temperature of device significantly down. You notice that the chip gets cold when you put your finger on it. So cooloing is working :-).

Has anyone received some of them, yet?
Will they be delivered with a heatsink and do they run with current versions of bfgminer/cgminer?
I am interested in ordering a few...
