so is the chance of you finding a block based on the amount of coins you are staking?
YesYour weight is the amount of coins you are staking. So if you have more coins you will find more blocks during PoS.
So its like lottery tickets.
The more lottery tickets you buy, the more chance you have of winning the lottery

isn't POS a percentage, so whats the percentage.

Is even the genesis block mined?! Without it a pool will also be useless.
Of course there is a genesis block.and some kind of masternode for addnode in the conf? Ip-address and port of the coin (not the rpcport).
That would help pool owners.
