I think this is just the beginning. I believe somewhere around $600 is where BCH becomes more profitable to mine than BTC. And that doesn't even take into account the diff adjustment coming this weekend.

BCH just jumped 10% after being in a very narrow band for the last week, is there any news related to this? Or just someone making a giant purchase?

This looks increasingly like a political coup against Bitcoin. Many people are so emotionally attached to the Bitcoin BTC Brand, that simply because the brand ticker BTC stays unchanged with the new Segwitbitcoin, they don't see that the new Segwitbitcoin will be a totally different creature from the original BTC. Don't think BCH price will go up any time soon. Very few transaction on Bitfinex. And BTC is still as strong as bull.

I think there might be not enough power to blow the market cap to 33 billion at least. That number is just a random number that I took strict out of my head, but have you ever thought about real time statistics on human fat? Lol this is too high expectation from this clone version I don't think BCH will rise in this time of period. Actually everybody want to sell this coin at high price most of the people missed the rally on bittrex but it wont happen again price will go down more around 0.05

And as the fees for regular onchain transactions will continue to be too high, Segwitbitcoin is no longer an appealing payment option for many groups and individuals.
That would be amazing indeed, nobody needs annoying herds of children with their annoying sub-dollar spam transactions.
But still there are not many use cases for BCH compared to BTC. So why would people redirect their mining power to mine something is not used/accepted widely?
it has all the same uses cases, plus more , as bch does microtransactions (huge) + more fixes and i hear things about instant tx with 0confBitcoin has forked and improved as it was always meant to do, the miners, exchanges and pro's all know this.
There is no-way these groups of people will hand over control of their wallets, tx's and other things to a 3rd party forever.

It looks like somebody spammed the BCC chain, and then somebody else retaliated with spam on the BTC chain. However, BCC handled the spam like a champ and mined an 8MB block, but the spammed BTC mempool is rendering BTC essentially useless for the next 48 hours (unless you want to pay a $20-$40 fee). I guess it's probably Blockstream vs. the Chinese?
Objectively speaking, BCC massively outperformed BTC, due to the ridiculous 1MB BTC blocksize cap. Segwit hasn't helped. And a recent Lightning Network wallet launch got a lukewarm reception.
