On Poloniex BCHSV has flippened the ABC already so in response to your question based on the set parameters by BCH team. Who will win the race will deserve to be rewarded the ticker of BCH. What we were watching till now was just trailer as real movie has yet to start after successful hard fork. Lot of fun,excitements and disappointment are waiting for us depend on the status of everyone.
Any ideas as to what someone with BCH should do with it at this time? Should I just leave it on my cold wallet for now? I've missed so much profit from the SV futures market, is the value from SV going to assimilate into BCH after the fork?
I am no expert, but I guess just keeping BCH in a popular wallet where you control private keys is good enough. I will keep mine in Bitcoin ABC and will try to claim other forks way later after the split, I am sure someone in this forum will post a guide if need be how to safely do it
Just need to wait some time for dust to settle before claiming, because there are threats about reversing transactions etc.. and since there is no replay protection I understand ABC and SV need to become separated by different protocol or smth with completely separate blockchains. Or you can use Poloniex, but I read they are strinct on verification, so keep in mind if you are concerned
