I remember when BCH first came to life and some folks claimed that some sort of "flippening" will happen, BTC would be dethroned etc. Just the thought of this nonsense still makes me giggle. Now watch what is happening to it. Gotta love that comedy. I love crypto for keeping me high-spirited like this.
On Poloniex BCHSV has flippened the ABC already so in response to your question based on the set parameters by BCH team. Who will win the race will deserve to be rewarded the ticker of BCH. What we were watching till now was just trailer as real movie has yet to start after successful hard fork. Lot of fun,excitements and disappointment are waiting for us depend on the status of everyone.
Any ideas as to what someone with BCH should do with it at this time? Should I just leave it on my cold wallet for now? I've missed so much profit from the SV futures market, is the value from SV going to assimilate into BCH after the fork?

If bch is eaten by sv I don't see how that can be positive for the value but this space is getting more shameless by the day so maybe it will.

It would be a big blow to BCH reputation and in normal circumstances should decrease the price even if combined. Just like it was decreased in Poloniex exchange.

Probably these are the questions of maybe 2-3 exchanges as the smaller will follow. And lobbying behind it is thus important.
The fact is that this is not a "standard" fork and holding BCH to increase your portfolio value is not so straightforward. IMO is actually too risky to just hold BCH and gain from it, so (financially) I will not be involved.

I had this thought for few minutes to take advantage of the situation by buying BCH before HF and then sell after that.Then I just let that idea go away and because of unknown fear as risk for high. I was right staying for. Both are claiming they are real BCash but damage is too big to be repaired. It exposed the both clowns fully and if still anyone can not see what is written on wall, deserves what is coming.

If Bitmain's hash power is redirected from BTC to BCH, what happens to the BTC chain? Is this enough to stall the chain? When is the difficulty retargeting?

Climax of this drama is approaching very fast which will helpful to watch things more clearly. Even what we have seen till now has shown positions of both coins already but this isn't going to settle easily. One thing is clear things are not looking good for neither side doesn't matter how it ends. Lot of people have learned many things from these conflicts of overtaking one another.

This sounds really funny Bitcoin will remain always be the king of this crypto-universe while Bcash is now fell under its trap with chain split and fork issue. You should let know the facts how this ecosystem works.
