Punin - if I correctly google-translated the message from bitfury he seems to suggest that a new lower price for the chips is coming at the end of October. Can you comment and/or provide more details?

Taк бyдeт и дaльшe cнижeниe - нa кoнeц oктябpя.

I expect the prices to drop, but I don't have more info on this at this time unfortunately.

Punin - thanks for the quick reply!
"We have no info" is still good info and it's appreciated! Smiley

Order #283 recieved.

Some fast observations:
R02F looks different and shows a resistance of ~1.8k
unmodded boards seem to produce 29-32Ghs
Pencilmodding to 1.7k looks to be stable with ~35.5Ghs (fans, no heatsinks).

Awesome news, thanks Isokivi.

all kits are out of stock !!! when you will you have a new stock

He said they did this to make sure they get everyone's orders out on time.

From the sound of things they're not actually out of stock as we can order more H-Boards for immediate delivery "soon".

H-card availability
As some of you have noticed, we closed the october sales. We did this so that we would be able to deliver everything as promised. We will however reopen H-card sales, after we're done shipping so you can top-up your empty slots. They will be available for immediate delivery.

Why in the world would a bypass cap heat up like that - short of there being an awful lot of AC present?  Leaky?  Way over-voltage?  Just plain-old wrong part placed?  Is there suddenly a world-wide shortage of EE's such that nobody with the required expertise can look to see what's going on?

+1
also can users safely remove capacitors by themselfs?

I assume the caps were there to smooth out any spikes in power. Would this mean the boards would be less "protected" from this?

Really?  Is no one questioning why it's suddenly ok to yank half of the components off of the H boards?  Do we need to worry that our old H boards are going to spontaneously combust and burn our houses down?

Russian design.  Probably works better with only 1/2 the parts in place...

Nice one -Redacted- Smiley

@itod i don't see where -Redacted- insulted people on this thread.

And a sense of humor is a sorely lacking in many posters, too.  About 1/2 of them act like they've had it surgically removed at some time in the past...

Bitfury is a Russian product, and coming to this thread and saying that Russian things work better with only 1/2 the parts in place... Well if it is funny to you, it is not to me.

I suggest you grow a thicker skin, this is the internet after all Wink
